Favorite Video Game Boss Battles

I though it'd be interesting to find out what people think are some of the best boss fights that they've played

Personally number 1 for me is Psycho Mantis from the first Metal Gear Solid

I also enjoyed the fight against Seymour in the mountains in Final Fantasy X

I love the last boss on Bionic Commando.

The final battle with the heart is cool in Contra.

Bowser in Super Mario 3.

The shadow in Zelda II was cool.

It took me probably an hour to finish off Chairman Drek in whichever Ratchet and Clank he's in. I hated him but it's always nice to have a challenge.

Even though it's not over the top or anything, I love the fight with Big Boss at the end of Metal Gear Solid 3.

Edwin Van Cleef from World of Warcraft. Kind of a lowbie boss mob but I think Lee Van Cleef is cool as hell and Edwin is named after him.

I am also very fond of the Boss Characters in the Original DEVIL MAY CRY, especially the giant budgie.

Edwin Van Cleef, I just love the DEADMINES ... done that Instance so many times. Its great to win through it at Level 25, but also to see Level 50 guys wipe out in the Goblin Forge Room because they get too cocky! My Paladin used Cookie's Tenderizer as a weapon for ages!

I'm loving these choices, Rider. :D I think the best boss battle from DMC was the 3rd fight with Vergil. I love how after you defeat him, his 'true face' is revealed and he looks exactly like Dante.

Has anyone played Spider Man 2? I thought the final showdown with Doc Oc. was pretty difficult (but its been awhile since I played it).
