This Year in Vacation

Is anyone going anywhere this summer?

We leave for Phoenix on Thursday to visit family for Memorial Day Weekend. I'm really looking forward to getting out of town for a few days.

I have the annual family reunion to go to in August. This year it's in some small town in Ohio, so that's new. The reunion's usually the only sort of vacation I ever get, heh. At least it's always lots of fun, even if it's only for a weekend.

Ooooh Pheonix. Sounds like fun.
We are probably scrapping the idea of a summer vacation for a summer MOVE to Las Vegas.
We will know for sure by the end of the week.

If not, then I'm sure we will head to the Gulf for a week or so around the end of June.

My wife and I are going to New York (first time) at the beginning of June. When she asked me where I wanted to go and what I wanted to see the only thing that I could think to say was:
the corner of 46th and 2nd.

I've since found numerous places that I want to visit but I'm not gonna lie, Hammarskjöld Plaza and surrounding area is tops. :)

Either camping in France or at my in-laws villa in Spain. I'd rather do the camping thing, my Spanish is VERY basic but I'm comfortable with French having been there every year for about 18 years with my parents and numerous times since. I just love France...although, any country that shuts up shop for at least 2 hours at lunchtime gets my vote :D

Went to Maui in February, just returned from San Simeon/Paso Robles. In August we go to San Diego to watch the Sf Giants play the Padres-and visit Stone Brewing-they just opened a massive facillity.

I'm going to Yellowstone with the family for a week in late July/early August!

And June 15-17th, I'll be back in my old hometown of Cary/Apex North Carolina for an old friend's wedding.

I havent been away on a holiday since i was very small :(
my family used to go to the seaside every year for a holiday, but now we live by the sea they see little point in going on holiday anymore.
Well-my parents spent last week in southampton and had a great time, but i never got to go with them

Our family vacations are 1. a mission trip to Maine... with church members, or 2. driving to Colorado to drop my sister off at school.

I'm trying to get out of both because church people make me feel awkward, and dropping her off at school would mean I'd get to my own school late. Doesn't really work for me.

We got into San Francisco at 10am, dropped our stuff off at our hotel, and went right to our double-decker open-top tour bus. Yes, we were very touristy. :D

We were really really pooped this night with the time difference (I know, two hours, wah wah) and traveling, so we crashed around ten.
Well, my mom did. I had bought a sweatshirt so I took pictures of myself in the mirror of our hotel room for awhile. This is something I enjoy doing, if you couldn't tell by the amount of picspam I post around here. :lol:

Our last full day there, we started out in Little Italy for lunch, and then took a day trip up to Muir Woods. It was gorgeous, and if not for all the screaming children in strollers, I would have liked to stay all day.

Well, I'm off to Leadville, Colorado for my family reunion! Early flight tomorrow, then back late Sunday. Unfortunately, I had to cut my trip shorter than I wanted to because I need to get back to close on my house and move!! :excited: The sucky part is that I won't get to finally meet Matt & Dora like I'd hoped. :cry:
