Pick your favorite band. I know that is hard. Just pick one of your favorite bands then post a Good song by them, a Bad song by them, their Worst song and their Best song. I know you love your band but they aren't perfect are they?

Come on... you can do it!

Mine...

Iron Maiden

Yes, or at least for me they were. I can't think of a single song I don't love.

The Beatles

The Good: Everyting they did.

Cool thread though. Perhaps I can do this with some of my lesser favorite bands.

I've got The Beatles pretty high up there, but I take exception to your appraisal of their work.

Good: I am the Walrus

Bad: Love Me Do

The Worst: Yellow Submarine. HATE that!

The Best: All You Need is Love

I have to agree with Brice on this one. Green Day is my all time favorite band, and while there may be certain songs that aren't my favorite, I can't really name any that I don't like or that are "bad".
(I'm sure someone will jump in one this one and name they're own though....I'm just speaking for myself)

Wel, it's just my opinion, but I can't think of one song that I dislike by them.

Now that you mention it I can't name a single Green Day song that I dislike and I'm pretty sure I've heard them all. :couple:

Manowar!

Good: Achilles, Agony and Ecstasy in Eight Parts (who can resist 28.5 minutes of heavy metal awesomness?)

Bad: Warlord (boring song, plus lame sex scene in the beginning)

Best: Warriors of the World (first Manowar song I ever heard, amazingly awesome win with the power of a thousand anti-matter bombs)

Worst: The Warrior's Prayer (and old jerk talking to his son about the four riders of the Apocalypse - turns out it's the four members of Manowar)

I will never be able to pick between Pearl Jam and Radiohead so Iīll just do both

(btw: Iīll never be able to pick a "best song" for those bands either, Iīll go with what Iīm feeling at the moment)

Pearl Jam:

Good: Smile
Bad: Habit
Worst: Deep
Best: Immortality

Radiohead

Good:True Love Waits
Bad: Sulk (itīs bad to radioheadīs standards)
Worst: cannot decide if they have a worst song
Best: right now, for me, itīs How to Disappear Completely

Good calls Goncho. I may as well do one for RH as they are my favorite existing band...

Good: Pyramid Song
Bad: Scatterbrain (it's not really "bad" it's just not as good as the other songs written around the same period)
Worst: Morning Bell [I despise this song. It is bo-ring and just does nothing for me]
Best: Lucky (always has been and always will be my favorite of their songs)

I got bored of the Kid A version, but the one in Amesiac really gets to me, I wished they played it live instead of the original

I was just glad they didn't play it at all when I saw them in May. They had played it when I saw them in 03 and it bored me to tears.

Mary Jane's Last Dance is one of my favourite Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers songs. Also Pearl Jam's Deep!!

Um, well - Led Zep are my gods but I don't think I have a worst...

Good: actually I can't pick just one good or best either - I'm torn between Since I've Been Loving You, Ramble On, Dancing Days, No Quarter, Bring It On Home, Battle Of Evermore...nope, I can't do it

I could suggest a fairly good number of choices from the albums after the first 6. Up to that point, it's all good. "How Many More Times" from album #1 would be my fav.

:o How bizarre! I was just listening to How Many More Times and thinking that i should have put that on my list!!

Yeah, after Physical Graffitti things went a bit down hill. I have Presence and everything else, but never listen to them - thats why I didn't think to include them.

They're like a completely different band after that point, one that sucked. I have the whole collection in my collection, but only the first 6 albums and the live stuff I have go on my iPod bc I won't listen to the rest of it.

Good choices Woof. You've compelled me to do one for the Floyd...

Good: Wot's... Uh, the Deal
Bad: Anything after Roger Waters left the band.
Worst: I agree, "A New Machine" is just awful. That whole album is pointless and should have been released under Gilmour's name, not as PF.
Best: Echoes - this song was the beginning of a new era for the Floyd and set the stage for so much more.

AFI!!

"...But Home in Nowhere" off the Sing the Sorrow Album. Pretty much the whole album rules.

Also Rabbits are Roadkill on Rt. 37 is a pretty righteous tune.

All of their stuff is so different it's hard to pick one song, but I'm into the later stuff these days so these are my choices!
