Zone really has it. Eddie worked briefly as a messenger, and compared the possibilty that the Tower was inaccessable in some worlds to the floors he used to see in elevators marked with an X, meaning they too were inaccessable.

Yeah, Zone has it. Worked in as a messenger.

Daghain

Wuducynn
08-14-2007, 09:26 PM
Good try Letti, but thats the wrong answer.

Letti

08-14-2007, 09:30 PM

MonteGss
08-14-2007, 09:32 PM
Fred Towne says that "Mordred be a-hungry."

Wuducynn
08-14-2007, 09:36 PM
Well thats part of the message Monique, yeah. But there is one part before that.

MonteGss
08-14-2007, 09:37 PM
...and that his watch may stop as he gets closer to the Tower.

Wuducynn
08-14-2007, 09:40 PM
Right on.

MonteGss
08-14-2007, 09:42 PM
New question:

;)

Wuducynn
08-14-2007, 09:42 PM

Letti
08-14-2007, 09:43 PM

MonteGss
08-14-2007, 09:46 PM
I'm nitpicky. Your answer is not specific enough. :)

Wuducynn
08-14-2007, 09:46 PM
Crimson IS red goofballs..it's just another word for dark red. Anyyywho..I do know the answer but I'll let Chassit get it.

MonteGss
08-14-2007, 09:47 PM
red and dark red are not the same to me.

Wuducynn
08-14-2007, 09:49 PM
red and dark red are not the same to me.

MonteGss
08-14-2007, 09:51 PM
Bump

New question:

What was the color of the Royal Court of Gilead?

Wuducynn
08-14-2007, 09:51 PM
Well I'm sure some enterprising Tower Junkie on here will find the answer to Monte's question and survive his Nitpick of Death...but I got to head to bed. Goodnight.

MonteGss
08-14-2007, 09:52 PM
Royal Blue?

That is not the answer I am looking for. This is not what I read. :(
Letti and you are closest. :)

Like I said, I'm nitpicky...you guys should know that by now. :)

MonteGss
08-14-2007, 09:53 PM
Well I'm sure some enterprising Tower Junkie on here will find the answer to Monte's question and survive his Nitpick of Death...but I got to head to bed. Goodnight.

You'd do the same, don't deny it.

Letti
08-14-2007, 09:58 PM
Guys... one day you will shoot at each other...

MonteGss
08-14-2007, 09:59 PM
Nah...he loves me. :)

Daghain
08-14-2007, 10:00 PM
Damn, I knew I was close.

Indigo Blue?

MonteGss
08-14-2007, 10:03 PM
Ok, ok, ok. The answer is dark blue. Like I said, I think dark blue and blue are two different colors. :)
Ok, the Nitpick of Death is over. Letti and Daghain must mud-wrestle (naked) for the feather.

Daghain
08-14-2007, 10:04 PM
Damnit, I was going to say Dark Blue next. LOL.

Letti, go for it. I need to go to bed. :)

Letti

Wuducynn
08-15-2007, 02:38 PM
Charlie the Choo Choo

Letti
08-15-2007, 02:40 PM
But I don't think so... but I am not sure anymore...
Was it???
I don't remember this way but my memory is horrible.

Matt
08-15-2007, 02:53 PM
I wouldn't think so

Letti
08-15-2007, 02:56 PM
First when I read the Charlie the Choo Choo answer I thought it's just a joke. Sorry.

I am almost sure Charlie the Choo Choo can't be right. Eddie told Jake he could remember that book but he couldn't stand it... the smile (they could never trust that smile, do you remember?) and stuff like that or maybe it was Susannah.

Keep on thinking.

Mordred Deschain
08-15-2007, 04:33 PM
heh...my memory is totally shit!

ZoNeSeeK
08-15-2007, 08:20 PM
Hrm .. are you sure he didnt say it was his favourite book as a child, until he was old enough and didnt like the smile or something like that?

Im just not sure in what context he would have mentioned another childrens book. Beside the riddle one, were there any others introduced in the series?

Daghain
08-15-2007, 08:38 PM
My head is going to explode.

WHAT THE HELL WAS HIS FAVORITE BOOK, ALREADY? WAR AND PEACE? LOL

Wuducynn
08-15-2007, 08:47 PM
I'm pretty sure Zone is right.

Daghain
08-15-2007, 08:51 PM
I thought so, too. :D

The only other literary reference I can attribute to Eddie is his mistaken Thomas Wolfe quote, "The man in black fled across the desert, and the gunslinger followed."

Annoying. :(

Wuducynn
08-15-2007, 09:07 PM
I remember the moment in the saga when Roland's ka-tet talked about how that was their favorite book as kids.

Daghain
08-15-2007, 09:09 PM
I do, too.

Letti! If the answer isn't correct, we give up! TELL US!

Letti
08-15-2007, 09:30 PM
Now I'll go and I check it if I remember well or not. Give me a minute and I will be back.

Wuducynn
08-15-2007, 09:33 PM
*tick* *tick* *tick*

Daghain
08-15-2007, 09:34 PM
YOU ARE KILLING US, LETTI!!!

Wuducynn
08-15-2007, 09:37 PM
**DRUMROLL**

Letti
08-15-2007, 09:39 PM
Guys, I thought it would be easy like hell now I must check it in the book. I can't believe it... :D

Letti
08-15-2007, 09:40 PM
Listen... we can read about it in SoS. Henry was always teasing him with reading THAT very book.
Hm? I can give you more help if you wish...

Daghain
08-15-2007, 09:51 PM
Was it Lord of the Rings?

Letti
08-15-2007, 09:56 PM
Was it Lord of the Rings?

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssssssssssssss!
For that part of the book was so... touching for me because I know King loved it a lot too and I saw a connection here and it was very important for me.

Wuducynn
08-15-2007, 09:57 PM
Good job Daghain.

Letti
08-15-2007, 10:01 PM
Now the answer seems to be natural, doesn't it?

Daghain
08-15-2007, 10:03 PM
Thank Gan, because I was literally two steps away from pulling my hair out by the roots. :D

But yes, Letti, you made me work for it. Good job!

Letti
08-15-2007, 10:06 PM

MonteGss
08-18-2007, 07:27 AM
OK....this is one of the best trivia questions I've ever read (and correctly answered) from over at .net. I will revise it a little bit.

What is one thing that Sheemie and Mia have in common? There is more than one correct answer.

Daghain

Who named a place "Sunset Cottage", and which three characters owned "Sunset Cottage"?

Letti
08-20-2007, 01:11 PM
Roland, Cut and Alain.. and maybe one of them named it.
Anyway I have no idea... :D

MonteGss
08-20-2007, 03:13 PM
Hmmm, I think it's Papa Mose, Deepneau and John Cullem. Uh, one of those guys named it. :)

ZoNeSeeK
08-20-2007, 05:16 PM
Is it something the Tet corporation bought under Eddie, Susannah and Roland?

Wuducynn
08-20-2007, 08:18 PM
One of you three have one of the three of the owners.

Letti
08-20-2007, 10:22 PM

Wuducynn
08-21-2007, 05:22 AM
The question on deck is -

"Who named a place 'Sunset Cottage', and which three characters owned 'Sunset Cottage'?"

Letti
08-21-2007, 09:09 AM
Okay, I was right and Susan named it. *shrug* It's impossible that a boy gave such a name.

Wuducynn
08-21-2007, 09:42 AM
I never said anything about Susan naming it being right ;)

Letti
08-21-2007, 10:12 AM
Was I right about the ka-tet? :P

Wuducynn
08-21-2007, 10:15 AM

Letti
08-21-2007, 10:17 AM
Okay. I guess now I am out of this turn.

Wuducynn
08-21-2007, 10:21 AM
Well I did say that one of you three have one of the three involved in this question right. So that should give you some hints.

Letti
08-21-2007, 10:25 AM
Yeah I know but it wouldn't be fair to use the others' ideas I think.

Wuducynn
08-21-2007, 10:30 AM
Fair? You're trying to get the question, this is life or death..do or die, kill or be killed Letti!! The Law of the Tooth and Claw rules this thread..Stand and kick some ass!!!

Letti
08-21-2007, 10:32 AM
Do you say me or them?

Wuducynn
08-21-2007, 10:34 AM
Everyone. But I was directing that mostly at you of course.

Letti
08-21-2007, 10:36 AM
I must let the others to continue it. I have no rights to find out this one. I tried and I failed.
Maybe next time. :D

Daghain

Daghain

Thankee-sai. Here is your question:

What was the name of the group Farson's men defeated at Jericho Hill?

The Affiliation?

Daghain
08-22-2007, 03:17 PM
No.

I really can't believe this is that hard. :D

Wuducynn
08-22-2007, 03:24 PM
Well I'm at a loss. I've read the scene and there is no mention of a group that Farson's men defeated other than the Affiliation and in the Concordance under Jericho Hill there is also no other group mentioned. You've got me. Good question.

Wuducynn

Don't blink, you'll miss it!

I just looked at the paragraph before it describes how Alain was killed and I see nothing describing a group that John Farson's men fought against.

I give.

"There was no help. __________ was ambushed and slaughtered at Rimrocks and when Alain rode back after midnight to tell them, Roland and Cuthbert..."

Thankee-sai. Here is your question:

What was the name of the group Farson's men defeated at Jericho Hill?

Jamie DeCurry was a gunslinger not a group. Here is the question...I see no name of a "group" that Farson's men defeated. The only group involved that Farson defeated was the Gunslingers and/or The Affiliation.

Alright, so Monte has got several things right, amazingly... The blah, blah, blah part, the Oz part and that it's a newspaper (sort of). It's not the newspaper read by Jake in Topeka, and it's not IN Topeka where this occurs. But Monte is on the right track.

I don't know what else you want here buddy. I'm not sure why you're saying that it is only sort of of newspaper. Roland claims that it is a joke, as we all know. "It had looked like a newspaper, and that was just what it was...although an exceedingly odd one." He/they read it by the sentry-box by the Wizard's castle. I suppose they are technically still in the thinny when this goes on though the "paper" is called The Oz Daily Buzz. I am confused by this one as it seems as if I have answered your question with the way it is worded. Perhaps a clue to narrow it down? :P

What do you mean by "what else I want"? Thats the answer. It's in the Oz Daily Buzz that was in the Green Castle (not in Topeka). The Oz Daily Buzz was more of a bum hug of a paper and not a real newspaper like The Atchison Topeka paper or whatever it was that Jake read. So what are you confused about?

Seeking Folk is one, correct? I consider that a proper name. I would say far-seers and far-travelers but I don't think that is what you are looking for.

Darkthoughts

Seeking Folk is correct - I have to admit that I didn't double check the books, the three names are all out of the first Gunslinger Born comic.

Far travelers is along the right lines, its a little more involved though.
