The rook's head Cuthbert used to wear around his neck, then later around his saddle horn. He hung it in the tree that night.

MonteGss
08-04-2007, 12:29 PM
Oooooh, she's a stickler! So exact and precise the answers need to be for her. :)

Daghain
08-04-2007, 12:30 PM
I see that. :D That's okay, I'm usually that picky too. :)

Letti
08-04-2007, 12:32 PM
Am I picky???

Anyway your answer is perfect now Daghain. Your turn. *bows*

Daghain
08-04-2007, 12:33 PM
Thank you, kind lady. :) I'm going to throw out a kind of easy one, since I probably won't be around all day. :)

What was Jack Mort's profession?

Letti
08-04-2007, 12:38 PM
Uh... it's not so easy from heart. A clerk? Or something..

Daghain
08-04-2007, 12:40 PM
You're getting warm....;)

Letti
08-04-2007, 12:42 PM
He had an office... that's what I am sure about.
(Yeah.. my memory rocks!)

Daghain
08-04-2007, 12:45 PM
LOL Yes, he did. The book does give his actual profession, though. :)

Letti
08-04-2007, 12:48 PM
*looks at the shelf.. it's very far.. minimum 3 steps*
*sigh*

I am tooooo lazy. :D

*goes to check it*

MonteGss
08-04-2007, 12:49 PM
Have fun my fine ladies. I will be back later and check the new question. I know you can find it Letti! :)

Mordred Deschain
08-04-2007, 12:50 PM

Letti
08-04-2007, 12:51 PM

Mordred Deschain
08-04-2007, 12:54 PM
an accountant?

I think you are right. I have just checked it. :D

I can't believe I just skimmed in here and answered it. Letti, since you did the work and looked it up, you can go. *can't resist her beauty* :)

Letti
08-04-2007, 12:56 PM
an accountant?

I think you are right. I have just checked it. :D

I can't believe I just skimmed in here and answered it. Letti, since you did the work and looked it up, you can go. *can't resist her beauty* :)

What a kind soul you are. :huglove:
I am deadly interested in your question.. so.. if you don't mind.. please make my mind and my memory move. :D

Mordred Deschain
08-04-2007, 01:01 PM
alright then....

What is the name of the place where Eddie Dean is from (more specific than New York)? And which two places is it found (Eddie's New York and Keystone NY)?

Daghain
08-04-2007, 01:02 PM
That is an excellent question. I'm going to be popping off in a bit, so I'll leave it for someone else to answer.

Have fun!

Letti
08-04-2007, 01:04 PM
From heart without hesitation: Brooklyn?

I am not sure at all. :scared:
(Neverforget that I am not a native one.) :)

Matt
08-04-2007, 01:09 PM
That would be in Keystone I believe

The Bronx in Eddie's level?

Mordred Deschain
08-04-2007, 01:10 PM
That is part correct. But where he is from has a name like "Hell's Kitchen". it is found in Brooklyn in one world and somewhere else in a different world.

Mordred Deschain
08-04-2007, 01:11 PM
Okay, now what is the place called?

Letti
08-04-2007, 01:12 PM
*thinking* :orely:

Mordred Deschain
08-04-2007, 01:18 PM
ahhh...your so beautiful when you think...

Letti
08-04-2007, 01:20 PM
ahhh...your so beautiful when you think...

:huglove:

You haven't seen me tihnking... ;)

Mordred Deschain
08-04-2007, 01:43 PM

I have to go...got things to do. The two parts Bronx and Brooklyn are correct. If anyone can guess the name and someone can verify, move on without me.

peace

Daghain
08-05-2007, 07:29 AM
Eddie was born in Co-Op City. It was in both the Bronx and Brooklyn, I believe.

Mordred Deschain
08-05-2007, 07:39 AM
Yup. was looking for the good ol' Co-Op City! Your turn D.

Daghain
08-05-2007, 07:50 AM
Yay!

Who was Deidre the Mad?

Mordred Deschain
08-05-2007, 08:24 AM
Wasn't he like Rolands Great Grandfather or some line of Eld?

Wuducynn
08-05-2007, 08:40 AM
Wasn't he like Rolands Great Grandfather or some line of Eld?

*ahem* "Deidre" the Mad?

Mordred Deschain
08-05-2007, 08:46 AM

Deidre...deidre....oh..OH! heh...nevermind! :)

Guess that comment about me being brilliant just got changed...

ZoNeSeeK
08-05-2007, 03:38 PM
Was she one of the taheen in the Dixie Pig? Or one of the vampies in the Dixie Pig? The Oriza tale is ringing a bell aswell. Was she mentioned in that?

MonteGss
08-05-2007, 03:40 PM
Yay!

Who was Deidre the Mad?

She was Roland's "strange grandmother." Is that correct Daghain?

Daghain
08-05-2007, 06:56 PM
Yes, my dear Monte. :) The feather is yours!

Mordred Deschain
08-05-2007, 07:12 PM
Hahah...I was close!!

Daghain
08-05-2007, 07:17 PM
Right neighborhood, wrong house. :D

MonteGss

ZoNeSeeK

Maybe it was Princess Superstar?

Daghain
08-05-2007, 09:12 PM

I know I have it, but I will wait until Monte hops back on to verify.

Besides, I'm thinking up an evil, nasty, hard question for you all. :D

Wuducynn
08-05-2007, 09:18 PM
Nice:D

I know I have it, but I will wait until Monte hops back on to verify.

Besides, I'm thinking up an evil, nasty, hard question for you all. :D

Forget Ms. Monte, I want to see your evil, nasty, hard question!

Daghain
08-05-2007, 09:35 PM
Oh, see how you are. If I didn't know I was right, I'd make you wait, Mr. Impatient. :)

Okay, here you go, sucker. Two part question:

North Central Positronics robots have two systems - what are these two systems and what are they (as a whole) called?

Wuducynn
08-05-2007, 09:52 PM
Rational and Irrational and as a whole they're called General Mentation Systems.

Daghain
08-05-2007, 10:09 PM

I pass the feather to the first person that asks a new question.

Wuducynn
08-06-2007, 05:18 AM
I'll be having you detailing my home with your tongue Monte soon enough. Maybe work on the cellar too, get some of the cobb-webs and mouse turds out of there. Good job on the question.

Daghain
08-06-2007, 08:45 AM
Okay, another two-parter:

Who's relative had red hair, and what was that relative's name?

Wuducynn
08-06-2007, 08:50 AM

Daghain
08-06-2007, 08:54 AM

Wuducynn
08-06-2007, 10:27 AM
What kept the Sisters from sucking Roland dry and killing him? Also, what sustenance did the Sisters manage to take from Roland instead?

Daghain
08-06-2007, 11:40 AM
Damn. I know half the answer, but can't find the other half. :(

Wuducynn
08-06-2007, 11:59 AM
Damn. I know half the answer, but can't find the other half. :(

Great, so you finally got to read it. Well the second part is definitely in there...

Daghain
08-06-2007, 12:01 PM
No, actually I remember a lot of it. I'm going to check the book later tonight if I have time.

Wuducynn
08-06-2007, 12:03 PM
"Remember a lot of it"? I thought you said you hadn't gotten a chance to read it yet, recently? Last time I asked a LSOE question this was.

Daghain
08-06-2007, 12:04 PM
I read it a long time ago. I don't remember all the gory details, but I DO know the first half of your question. :)

Chassit
08-06-2007, 01:39 PM
The necklace he found on the dead brother and....emotional sustenance (?)

I should have known.

The medallion protected him, and the sisters, since they couldn't get his blood, were drinking his semen.><

Havent you heard? Semen gives women radiant, healthy skin, prevents you from gaining weight, dissolves any cellulite and generally makes your breasts firmer and more perky. Everybody wins!

Daghain
08-06-2007, 07:55 PM

Why was I not told???!!!!

I had to leave that one for Daghain!

Monte loves me. I feel so special.

Wuducynn
08-06-2007, 08:17 PM
Havent you heard? Semen gives women radiant, healthy skin, prevents you from gaining weight, dissolves any cellulite and generally makes your breasts firmer and more perky. Everybody wins!

Don't forget; makes you a genius. Although it has been found that it helps give an emotional boost because of hormones passing through the vaginal skin during sex.

Oh and "Greymarl Apartments".

Daghain
08-06-2007, 08:37 PM
Well, it's about freaking time! I can't believe you guys couldn't get that one - I was out drinking with the girls (no sexual references, CK, it was my pseudo-MIL and her friend LOL) and I came home and you STILL hadn't got it. Damn.

Feather is yours, OH great and powerful Red One. :)

Wuducynn
08-06-2007, 08:52 PM

Daghain
08-06-2007, 08:59 PM

Wuducynn
08-06-2007, 09:33 PM
What did Wolf do to upset two people and who were they?

Daghain
08-06-2007, 09:39 PM

Wuducynn
08-06-2007, 09:40 PM
This isn't that Wolf..if you're talking about The Talisman.. ;)

Daghain
08-06-2007, 09:41 PM

Wuducynn
08-06-2007, 09:41 PM

I am late to bed...have a goodnight! Sweet nightmares.

Daghain
08-06-2007, 09:45 PM

Wuducynn
08-07-2007, 05:42 AM

MonteGss

Daghain
08-07-2007, 10:17 AM

Wuducynn
08-07-2007, 10:20 AM
Yes!! I knew it! I'll post a new question in a moment...

MonteGss
08-07-2007, 10:41 AM
 Sorry buddy, that is incorrect. I would think eating lots of pussy would make you vibrantly colorful. :)

I'm off to work. I'll be back to check answers later tonight.

Wuducynn
08-07-2007, 10:47 AM
 Sorry buddy, that is incorrect. I would think eating lots of pussy would make you vibrantly colorful. :)

I'm off to work. I'll be back to check answers later tonight.

I was alluding to the fact that it takes you away.. ;) If no one has given an answer tonight, I'll post the answer.

Mordred Deschain

ZoNeSeeK

Daghain
08-07-2007, 05:26 PM
Ah, but great minds think alike. And I still can't find the freaking answer. :(

Mordred Deschain
08-07-2007, 05:33 PM

Current question:

What would one have to eat in order to become dim?

Happy Trivia!

YOu would have to eat Walter O'? :)

How about eat light?

Daghain
08-07-2007, 06:02 PM
A spoon?

MonteGss
08-07-2007, 07:57 PM
Sorry everyone, but nobody has said the correct answer.
Maybe Mr Smarty-Pants will come back and enlighten us with his response.

Daghain
08-07-2007, 09:20 PM
I am sure he will.

MonteGss
08-07-2007, 09:21 PM
Amazing that you knew who I was refering to, isn't it?

Daghain
08-07-2007, 09:34 PM
Not really,. We ALL know CK as Mr. Smarty-Pants. Didn't you get the memo?

MonteGss
08-08-2007, 01:53 PM
What would one have to eat in order to become dim?

Is anyone else gonna take a stab at this one?

Daghain
08-08-2007, 01:56 PM
I'm stumped.

Darkthoughts
08-08-2007, 02:02 PM
dim sum?

:D sorry, that was terrible!

ZoNeSeeK
08-08-2007, 03:38 PM
lol

hrm, is it food from castle discordia?

MonteGss
08-08-2007, 03:53 PM
You will not find the answer in DT1-7. The character that references the item does appear in The Dark Tower though.

And, to be honest, I have no idea whether it is found in Castle Discordia. I guess I doubt it.

ZoNeSeeK
08-08-2007, 04:32 PM
I think thats a bit of a stretch :)

Daghain
08-08-2007, 05:18 PM
I figured it was a satellite book, but that doesn't really help me.

MonteGss
08-08-2007, 05:55 PM
Jeez...you guys all realize you may have to look in a book in order to answer sometimes, don't you? :)
Should I change my question to what is Roland's last name?

ZoNeSeeK
08-08-2007, 06:37 PM
:beat: what IS roland's last name?!??!

Daghain
08-08-2007, 07:04 PM
Deschain.

Really, without sitting down with every freaking book I own, I won't get it. I haven't read the others in so long that I can't even pick a direction to go in. :D

ZoNeSeeK
08-08-2007, 07:18 PM
i wasnt being serious, spagnolio! :D

Daghain
08-08-2007, 07:32 PM
I know. I was being a smartass.

Wuducynn
08-08-2007, 08:12 PM
In order to become dim you have to eat a "pizzle". No, I have no idea what that is except that it sounds like a slang-word for a penis.

Daghain
08-08-2007, 08:17 PM
Where is that from? Now that you say it it sounds familiar.

Wuducynn
08-08-2007, 08:34 PM
Where is that from? Now that you say it it sounds familiar.

The Eyes of the Dragon. It's from Flagg thinking about how some folk think you can become invisible and how he believes that it's near impossible and that you can become dim though and how he does it.

Daghain
08-08-2007, 08:37 PM
Damn! I need to reread that one! That was a great book IMHO.

Once I finish Bev's book (almost done) and Lisey's Story, I'm all over it, baby. :)

ZoNeSeeK
08-08-2007, 09:53 PM
hehe .. my pizzle's been drizzlin :)

MonteGss
08-09-2007, 03:13 AM
A pizzle is correct. I do believe it is slang for penis also.
You're up CK!

Wuducynn
08-09-2007, 05:30 AM
Easy one...

Where did Callahan "find" Black Thirteen?

Daghain
08-09-2007, 07:00 AM
Walter gave it to him before he shoved him through the door to the Calla.

Wuducynn
08-09-2007, 07:01 AM
True enough, but where? Remember the question is where, not how.

Daghain
08-09-2007, 07:02 AM
Oh, my bad, sorry, not enough caffeine to read for comprehension yet today. :)

It was at the Way Station.

Wuducynn
08-09-2007, 07:04 AM
You  my lady. The Feather of Dark Tower trivia is thine.

Daghain
08-09-2007, 07:19 AM
Okay, here you go:

Who are Robert and Francesca and what happened to them?

Wuducynn
08-09-2007, 07:43 AM
They fell in love and they committed suicide?

Daghain
08-09-2007, 07:53 AM
Close.

But not close enough. :D

Chassit
08-09-2007, 07:56 AM
They were characters in a song that did a murder suicide deal...IIRC

XIX

Daghain
08-09-2007, 08:03 AM
Chassit gets the feather!

Chassit
08-09-2007, 08:05 AM
Damn heh

XIX

Wuducynn
08-09-2007, 08:06 AM
I guess Daghain didn't get the memorandum about how she's psychically supposed to know which ones I can't quite remember the details of and how she's not supposed to post trivia until I have access to the books, to find said trivia...

Chassit
08-09-2007, 08:07 AM
weren't they also thought to be ghosts in Hambry's cemetary?

XIX

Wuducynn
08-09-2007, 08:07 AM
weren't they also thought to be ghosts in Hambry's cemetary?

XIX

Yeah.

Daghain
08-09-2007, 08:12 AM
Yep. And CK, that was totally booksearchable on .net. :D

Wuducynn
08-09-2007, 08:16 AM
Yep. And CK, that was totally booksearchable on .net. :D

Yeah, I figured it probably was but I'm doing other things too and didn't want to bother. Sometimes I like doing it off the cuff..Looking forward to the Chassit-meister's question..

XIX

Wuducynn
08-09-2007, 08:29 AM
Roland and his ka-tet didn't kill Eldred. Only Roland did and that was with his pistol.

Daghain

Blew him right out of the saddle. Man, that was satisfying. :D

This gathering a bunch of corn and burning it in the street, not a stuffy guy.

The children of Tull gathered corn and burned it in the middle of the street a week after Nort was resurrected.

Just bumping this. Again the question on tap is -

Where did a key turn red? Who saw it turn red? What was the little rhyme that went with this situation?

MonteGss
08-12-2007, 02:08 PM
Well, I remember a jawbone turning red in a fire, but I don't remember a key turning red. Hmmm.

ZoNeSeeK
08-12-2007, 04:58 PM
Didnt the jawbone take the shape of a key that was burning red?

This isn't that incident. This is a key, not the jawbone.

No.

Daghain
08-12-2007, 07:40 PM
Is it really a riddle associated with the key or a rhyme?

Wuducynn
08-12-2007, 08:12 PM
I just realized that I typed riddle instead of rhyme...thanks Daghain.

Wuducynn
08-12-2007, 08:12 PM

Where did a key turn red? Who saw it turn red? What was the little rhyme that went with this situation?

Daghain
08-12-2007, 08:29 PM
Something was tickling at the back of my mind, so now I can go investigate. :D

Wuducynn

I'm serious when I say I hate that. It pisses me off, especially when it screws up my trivia question.

Daghain
08-12-2007, 08:40 PM
I think this is it:

Roland threw a jawbone into the fire, which Eddie saw as a key and then it turned into a red rose. The rhyme is "Dad-a-chum, dud-a-chee, not to worry, you've got the key."

Wuducynn
08-12-2007, 08:53 PM
No, actually from the last page we already discussed it had nothing to do with the jawbone/fireplace scene

Daghain
08-12-2007, 08:55 PM
Damn, so close and yet so far.

Wuducynn
08-12-2007, 08:57 PM
Remember, there are many kinds of keys.

A little clue for you.

Wuducynn
08-12-2007, 09:03 PM
And I just re-checked and we were both right. The rhyme is also riddle-like. I had forgotten that's why I chose that word.

Wuducynn
08-12-2007, 09:06 PM
Again for those just tuning in - Where did a key turn red? Who saw it turn red? What was the little rhyme that went with this situation?

Daghain
08-12-2007, 10:34 PM
My head is going to explode.

ZoNeSeeK
08-13-2007, 12:04 AM
Was it in the cradle of Lud, getting into blaine's platform? The rhyme would have been the one with the pump primes backwards in it - does the panel turn red when it opens?

Jean
08-13-2007, 12:10 AM
Dad-a-chud, dad-a-ched, see it, Jake! The key is red!

grrrrrrrrrrr grrrrrrrrrrrrr, why does nobody but AllHail and me love Song of Susannah?

Jake saw it, and the key was MagCard, and "couldn't be red until the message was read".

Question:

who with one word reminded Roland that that wasn't the right time or place for taking a nap, and what was the word, time, and place?

Wuducynn
08-13-2007, 01:02 AM

Who: Oy
Word: "Ake"
Time & Place: Under Lud, in front of Ticky's doorway when they were trying to rescue Jake

Oh, if Jean accepts my answer, I pass the feather. I'm off to work in a few minutes. Have fun!

I wish I was here to "race" getting the answers. :)
I love Trivia!

Daghain
08-13-2007, 03:22 PM
Maybe I can make you all work for it a little bit: :)

Who didn't believe in the supernatural until accosted by a mugger? Who was the mugger and what happened to change the victim's mind?

Wuducynn
08-13-2007, 04:06 PM
Trudy Damascus and she was acosted by a certain Mia/Susannah Dean and had her shoes stolen. What changed her mind is seeing Mia/Susannah pop out of the thin air in front of her..

Who thought of buildings that this person once worked in where you would come to certain floors while riding an elevator and those floors would be marked with an 'X'? What was this person associating this memory with and why?

Daghain
08-13-2007, 05:07 PM
Damn, that's a good one. I think I know part of it but I need to go look. :)

ZoNeSeeK
08-13-2007, 07:12 PM
I thought it was Eddie but I didnt think he worked in one of them? He was associating the locked levels with hidden levels of the Tower.

Daghain
08-13-2007, 07:28 PM
Zone really has it. Eddie worked briefly as a messenger, and compared the possibilty that the Tower was inaccessable in some worlds to the floors he used to see in elevators marked with an X, meaning they too were inaccessable.
