Rise

i lie awake at night

searching for whats right

looking intot the dark

and searching for my heart

trying to have something real

somthing that makes me feel

wanting to find my way

hoping i’ll rise today

hearing all the bad songs

wondering how i got so wrong

i thought i found the one

now i hate what she has become

figured out i am on my own

I truly am all alone

it is now known to all

the writing is on the wall

standing here on the ledge

thinking of going over the edge

Whole

You are in my heart i find

Forever wishing you were mine

Every day since you left

It is harder to catch my breath

I'm supposed to be a man

so why cant i drop the bottle from my hand

visions of what we had run through my head

i often dream and wish i were dead

everyday i am slowly breaking apart

everyday it is harder to pick up my heart

torn open to my very core

tring to find the stength to fet off the floor

only wish to hear two simple words

how is that so absurd

when i remember what i was told

my whole heart goes uterlly cold

this is wrong i know it in my soul

after this i may never be whole

You lie with every word you say

Your own words will make you pay

I know the truth through and through

It's so clear now, i dont need you

All i used to feel was hate

Thats not right, this must be fate

Know that i will always carry you in my thoughts

Till the day my body and mind stop

Hoping my sorrow will forever end

That my rage gloom and happy will blend

Everything is now clear inside

Who knows what I will find

Now i go forward with ease

And thanks for the memories

We were never meant to be

This i can finally see

That is the reason you didn't stay

Do you hear me thinking of things I dream about
I wonder if your leaving and quickly running out
Can you feel the beating of my heart when we talk
Knowing that i cant run before i learn to walk
There's no escaping what i feel
At times i wonder if all this is real
Tell me what I am to you am I big or small
You think you know me but you haven't seen it all

if you really walk away dont you think I'll feel sorrow
dreaming of when your coming back till then I'm hollow
Laying here sadly singing my sins for all to see
Cant you understand this is not the best I can be

Can you see me dreaming of you all night
If this is wrong i dont wanna be right
When it comes to me I think you have forgot
At times i think you love me not
thinking of you every night and day
you and i together feels like the right way
Being with you makes me totally fine
you have my complete heart body soul and mind

Pray for the Dead



Everything has become wrong

As I sit here writing this song

I think of all that I miss

While hoping I receive Death’s Kiss

Waves crash against my soul

My emotions have become cold

Pray and the Dead save you

Only cause they want to join you

They crave the warmth of all

Can you hear their screaming call

The dead reach out to take your turn

They know at the end of time everything burns

This reminds me of one of those poems that can spawn others if the author wishes.

I paint my to face to hide from you

But when you look you see right through

My lies my heart my fears and dreams

Nothing here is what it seems

The shadows always scream to me

Always mocking all that I can see

Your memory shouts out my name

Telling me everything’s the same

I wish I could run and scream and hide

Fall into a dark black hole I wouldn’t mind

Don’t talk of love my voice screams out

I’ll rip from you your love and shout

My heart it burns and rips apart

Feeling has gone from my heart

In my dreams I see you cry

In my dreams I see you die

I know some of these may seem redundant but i wrote them all in a bad time in my life and they are a kind of therapy for me. Helps me cope and not go psycho.

Someone

Why did I fall for someone like you

All the things you said were untrue

I realise i could never trust after that

The worst part, I kept coming back

You take and take never give

Never understood how you can live

All you were was selfless and cold

Next time I will do what I am told

Why did I listen to someone like you

No more forget it I'm through

I hate you with everything I am

You destroyed everything i was are am

Whats done is done I am over it

Doesnt mean I forget now will i forgive it

Someone ripped me open in every way

I hope to return the favor someday

Thinking of you fills me with utter hate

This wasnt meant to be there's no fate

Poetry is a great outlet for catharsis.

I hope this hate leaves you soon...plenty of fish in the sea. No reason to STAY worked for too long over one.

Feel free to cut loose here. More catharsis. Keep all of such works as they can be pieced together for a unique work or modified. If nothing else, inspiration for future works. Also... be prepared to read in the future and it is ok to laugh at yourself...just don't get rid of it.

Well I am giving you my friends a treat. One of the first poems I ever wrote. Also one of the first I had published in the tenth grade so its short. I hope you like it

Love is a feeling
Love is a chase
Love is believing
Love is a race

Love is a laugh
Love is a shiver
Love is a mountain
Love is a river

Love is forever
Love is growing
Love is eternal
Love is knowing.
