i'm with Matthew on this one, the first fight with the Wolves. to see that kind of courage and fight from "regular" folk not Gunslingers is very impressive.

I've noticed in other polls stating that who you vote for can be viewed by other site members but I've never seen who has voted for just the vote tallies. Do I have to select this in my control panel options.

I agree Linda! Oh I hope the gas station scene wins...Tull was super cool but it wasn't a fight, imo.

and, Gas station was a scene where we saw good things, - great dialog, John Cullum in all his splendor, different reactions of people, Eddie as a real grown-up gunslinger (whatever I think of them) - while Tull was only sick and cruel, and the only thing we could marvel at was Roland's quick reaction and survival skills.

Tull was most definitely a fight. Most of the people at Tull had pitchforks and knives, and although Roland is a complete bad ass, not even he left a battle like that unscathed. Whether or not they stood a chance is a diffrent matter altogether, but a fight it was.

But the Standoff at the Travellers Rest was a magnificent scene. It really set the scene for just what it meant to be a Gunslinger (and of these 3 only 1 was a qualified 'slinger, and he only just). It had to get my vote.
Tull isn't in the same league as either of these 2 scenes (imho).

you make a good point Brian. let's also remember that in that particular showdown, the boys didn't even have guns. they faced down their three gun-toting opponents with two knives and a slingshot. pretty impressive.

Brian I voted for the Standoff @ TR in the previous poll. I liked that one a lot. Once it was paired with the Gas Station scene though, I had to go with that one. :)

i still think there is something to be said for the first fight with the Wolves. the four people who stood on that road to fight and/or die were not Gunslingers but regular Calla folken who knew it was better to die fighting than live on their knees in submission to the Wolves.
