Damn, that is hard to choose! I'm picking CPU's...it just has the most viceral effect. Very nice job all of you. :harrier:

They're all good. I finally had to pick susie's though. Jean's was a close second, and I agree CPU's has a creepy quality to it.

I voted him, too, - even though I can't really see the festival http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k291/mishemplushem/Facilitation/bear_wink-1.gif - exactly because of that visceral effect Mattqhew mentioned

Sorry guys, but it has to be Susie on this one.
That's an exceptional piece of work.
Well done to Jean & CPU though.

I voted for susie because there's so much going on in her painting. It is one of those amazing works of art that you can just look at and contemplate for a long time.

I had to pick susie too! :)

As I've said before I have a weakness for the hand-drawn stuff..

Jean's was also quite nice, and really captured the "feel" of the festival.

Jean, I think yours feels like the Reap Festival. The others are nice though.
Susie's is an excellent piece of work but it doesn't, for me, seem to be a Reap picture.

Everyone did an amazing job!

I voted Jean, because it was on the reaptide festival, not just charyou tree on its own, not that i didn't love the others, i really did, they were immense, but Susie symbolizes the whole of W&G and CPU's is charyou tree, but they other two are still amazing pieces of work.

all three are very good- really...
but suzie's definitely has a wow factor - the composition, colors, and technique are all very professional looking and i'd be proud to hang that on my wall any day.

thumbs up to all three - but had to give my one vote to suzie.

All of them look great, but my vote also goes to Suzie. There is something about it that is quite interesting to look at. I also love the color. Very Cool!

Great job all three of you! Sorry I have been MIA and will be till next Tuesday but alas it would not have mattered with susie's most excellant piece!
I do have to say that I disagree with the centering of susie's piece only on charyou on two basis. The first and most important is that Reaptide is totally built and centered around the charyou tree sacrifice. The piece captures the entire philo-worship of the festival in her piece as it depicts the cycle of worship of the old-gods, blood sacrifice and rebirth. For me the piece is just brilliant and extremely well executed.

CPU - are you using Poser to create your images?

CPU
05-08-2008, 08:00 AM
I used Bryce 6.1 for the final layout and rendering of the image. The logs, cross, and Mr. Stuffy(tm) were created in Cheetah 3D, but I created the materials and textures in Bryce. I do sometimes use Daz Studio (a free Poser type application), but not for this particular image.
