So, I'm sitting here listening to Guns N' Rose's - You could be mine, and scenes from Terminator 2 keep popping into my head

We all have songs that remind us of other things - probably because they made an 'appearance' in them, be it movies or video games and such, so I ask you, what are they? Here is a short list of songs that remind me of other mediums, and I'm sure I'll post more as they come to me-

*Also, if a particular song reminds you of something else and does not appear in said medium , please post why that song reminds you of it, thanks! :D

-George Thorgood & The Destroyers - Bad to the bone - Terminator 2
-Guns N' Roses - You Could Be mine - : Terminator 2
-Rolling Stones - Paint It BLack - : Twisted Metal Black (PS2)

Music Box Dancer! LOL

So I will forever associate the song with being a kid in the floor playing with toddler toys! LOL

I also associate that "I'll stop the world and melt with you song" with tacoes now.

time after time reminds me of Napoleon Dynamite.

Most def.

For me, any song off Staind's Break The Cycle reminds me of Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, as that's what I was listening to when I first read JtHM.

Everybody Wants To Rule The World reminds me of being in my carseat, eating McDonalds' french fries in time to the song. :D

Old Time Rock & Roll reminds me of my dad.

I associate Losing My Religion by REM with Orwells' 1984, the first time i heard was when i was reading that and it just fit that story really well

everybody hurts by REM will always be associated with a trip to the beach last year with a couple buds of mine

it was one of those moments when the song comes on and noone goes to change the station, so we all kinda hesitate while listening...then one by one we began to sing the song

pretty soon we were all getting really.. and i mean borderline grabbing each other and screaming...into the song, riding down the interstate. what we neglected to realize was that some reallllllllly hott women had driven up beside us and were laughing their asses off. all i remember is trying to salvage our manliness by mooning them, then askin them to pull over so we could try and get their numbers. needless to say, they didn't oblige lol

Addicted to Love always reminds me of my husband. His real name is Doug so I change the love part to Doug..

"You like to think you're immune to this stuff
closer to the truth is saying
you can't get enough
you know you're gonna have to face it
you're addicted to Doug."

A son [Alex, 18] of one of the friends of the family died last May. We went to his open-casket viewing, and one of his siblings put together a video of him playing his saxophone, playing soccer, and other hobbies of his, and one of the songs that played during the video was Yellow by Coldplay.

I listened to it today in the morning for the first time since the viewing, and it reminded me of it ... :(

idk, my bff jill?

Aw, Feev. :couple:

I was thinking earlier today that Blink 182 always reminds me of when I was in grades 4 to 7, so whenever I listen to Cheshire Cat and Dude Ranch, I just go back in time.

I can never hear Sarah McLachlan's I Will Remember You without thinking of the victims of the Columbine attack. Never.

Ever since watching Withnail and I, it's impossible to listen to Jimi Hendrix's Voodoo Chile without it bringing a smile to my face. Here's why:

YouTube - I'm making time! (Shakespeare a colazione - Withnail & I)

"I'm making time!" :lol::rofl::lol::rofl:

As for the song Life on Mars? by David Bowie, i'll always associate that with the sheer epicness of the beginning of the UK series! A simple beginning, but epic, nonetheless.

I was at the theaters last week, and one of the trailers for a film titled 'The Crazies' had Mad World by Gary Jules - that song still makes me think of Donnie Darko. Time for a rewatch, me thinks :D

If Foreigner is played on the radio or even mentioned in conversation, it makes me want a "Belt of Foreigner Power".

Im listening to Soul Asylum's "Misery" right now. It always makes me think of the end of Clerks II. When everything reverts to black and white.
The best part of the movie imo. :)

I've got a few that I don't think have been mentioned yet:

"Bittersweet Symphony" by the Verve reminds me of the ending of Cruel Intentions.

Frank Sinatra's "Love and Marriage" will always be the theme song to Married With Children.

"I've Got You Babe" by Sonny and Cher reminds me of Bill Murray in Groundhog Day.

This one is random but "In the House of Stone and Light" by Martin Page reminds me of when I worked at a KB Toys when I was a teenager. Mostly because the radio station played the song 8 times in one day. :arg:

"Livin' on the Edge" (Aerosmith) reminds me I should be dead, it was the most destructive time of my life.
I still love the song, especially since I'm long gone from the destructive point.

I was in the car yesterday when Black Sabbath's Paranoid came on the radio. I cannot hear that song without thinking of the scene in Dazed and Confused where the group of seniors is chasing down Hirschfelder.

Than again, there is a lot of music that reminds me of that movie. A LOT.

Dazed and Confused is brilliant on so many levels.

"Lean on me" reminds me generally of loss, a response that my Dad always had and it rubbed off on me. I usually switch the station when it comes on, reminds me of a particular tough day in our family. I also can not listen to "sarah" by Fleetwood Mac for a related reason.
