With checkout services lacking or when they're incredibly slow, this might be the result, in case you didn’t know?
A corpulent member of the IRS, is a reasonable description, if one had to guess?
An evening of the load, homage to gravity’s talents
Additions at the end keep everything in balance.

What am I?

Obese Accountant?

In a sense, yes. That's what I'm driving at. Think around a corner here.

Hrm.

Piggy Bank?

Is this riddle like your other riddles, where each line is a play on the phonetics of one word?

Piggy Bank?

Is this riddle like your other riddles, where each line is a play on the phonetics of one word?

:orely:
Piggy Bank is incorrect. Yes, the first two lines, ending in a question mark, describe the word, but not in the usual sense.
The second two lines describe the word as it actually is.

For corpulent member of the IRS, Obese Accountant and Fat Taxman are valid descriptions, in a sense. But one multisyllable word will define that as well, in a broad, twisted sense. I would suggest considering other terms for an accountant and other terms for considering body mass. Actually, I would suggest thinking in simpler terms.

Finally, the word applies (in a twisted way) to the first line as well. When you go to checkout and nobody is there, what can you expect? The one thing I fear might blow the whole thing out of the water is if a term regarding the checkout area does not apply to people around the world.

I hope this helps. :(
