I love Scrubs. I just finished a marathon run of watching nothing but Scrubs until I got through all five complete seasons, plus what there is of season 6. I hope this season isn't damaged too bad because of the writer's strike, since it is the last one.

My best friend got me into this show and now I watch it every night for an hour and a half. I abolutly love it. Does anybody remember Elliot as "hot Becky" from Roseanne?

I also love their guest stars. You know what would be cool? If they had an episode where Hugh Laurie visited Sacred Heart and went head to head with Dr. Cox.

BTW, what night and time do the new ones come on? I thought they had stopped making them.

No, hadn't seen that one yet, but I do love the banana hamock wedgie moment.

I thought that either Dr. Cox quit or JD quit. So I thought there was to be no more episodes.

My favorite episode is the one about the Janitor and the Squirrel Army.

oh, and the one where Elliot keeps trying to have sex with his girlfriend, and everytime he's actually about to something happens and ruins the moment.

There's part of season 7 out now, and waiting for them to come back from the hiatus from the WGA strike to finsih it. It starts back on April 10, but only pre-stirke episodes will be aired.

As for a season 8, there's this:

Amid strike-induced doubt involving the final episodes of Scrubs, on February 28, 2008, The Hollywood Reporter reported that ABC was in talks with corporate sibling ABC Studios to bring Scrubs to ABC for an eighth season of 18-episodes,[33] despite both Lawrence's and Braff's protests that the seventh season will definitely be the last.[29] Just hours later, Variety reported that NBC was lashing out and threatening legal action against ABC Studios.[34] However, McGinley has confirmed that he has been told to report back to work March 24, 2008 to begin production for another season.[35] McGinley was also quoted as saying that the show's long-rumored move from NBC to ABC is a done deal.[36] According to McGinley, Scrubs will air on ABC during the 2008-2009 TV season. [2]

On March 19, 2008, Michael Ausiello of TV Guide reported that although nothing is "official," the Scrubs cast will be reporting back to work next Wednesday for work on an "unofficial" season as of yet. [37] Due to legalities of the contract between ABC Studios and NBC, until NBC releases a press statement releasing rights to Scrubs, nothing is official between the Scrubs production crew and ABC Studios

I'd imagine it is being they don't want the season distrupted and most likely shortened by the WGA strike to be the last one of the series.

cool. Monday I was watching a show I don't regularly watch, the one about the cute girl who lives with the nerds, and one of them goes to a lazer tattoo removal Dr. and it's Elliot from Scrubs. From the look of it they were gonna work her into the show as a g/f.

Let me tell you a story about Scrubs.

A little over a year ago, I broke up with my girlfriend at the time. That is to say, she broke up with me. We'd been going out for about seven months, and she decided that the best way to reflect the time and experiences we'd shared was to simply send me a text message saying, "Yeah, this isn't working out."

Needless to say, I was more or less devastated. With my first major relationship ending in disaster and subsequently a whole lot of my schedule suddenly freed up, I was left to my own devices.

On a whim during that first restless week, I found the first season box set of Scrubs at the local fye. On sale for about $20, I figured it was a good investment.

I took it home, more or less unprepared. I'd seen some of the show in syndication on the teevees before, but hadn't put much thought into it, beyond recognizing that it was a rather well put together show.

As I watched, a weird thing started to happen.

The first few arcs really spoke to me. JD chasing after Elliot, reminding me of how it had been in the first few weeks of my own excursion into dating. The constant encroaching of sickness and death in the show, putting into perspective my own (by comparison) minor pain.

The humor also helped lighten the load placed by the more serious themes, and also brightened my day, if only for the span of that thirty-minute episode.

By the end of the summer, I'd seen every episode available, and was feeling quite a bit better overall. The show has this quality about it, where - even though I'm about as far from the field of medicine as I am from Mars - everyone can still relate. The characters are so essentially human that it's hard sometimes not to see yourself and your actions in them.

During a difficult time, this show really helped me put things into focus. I hold quite a bit of appreciation for it. It's diversity of theme is impressive - able to be profound one second, and have me laughing the next.

I think you hit the nail on the head Yunsung. I also felt/feel a connection with whats happening with the characters and the situations they are in. Sometimes its a bit spooky.

I am a die hard scrubs fan, watched every episode atleast once and every once in a while when I'm up at 1130 to 1230 and not doing anything I watch the 2 episodes on Fox, but this is honestly my favorite show besides maybe lost. What's happening is there is one more season but it's going to be on ABC(just read an article on it), and after this one they may possible make another, I know amazing. But, Zach Braff (J.D.) said that he will not come back, maybe it could change but I'm not sure if I could watch Scrubs without J.D. on so I hope they jsut do a good job with this season and go out on top, not one season to long.

B Rag
08-03-2008, 08:36 PM
As much as I love all the other characters, most of their humor comes from their interactions with JD. It wouldn't be right without him!

They're going to start showing Scrubs on TVLand! What's up with that?! I could see why they would put it there years from now, as it's sure to be a classic, but this is the first time I've ever seen them have a show that's so recent.

Amazing episode last night, "My Lawyer's In Love". One of the best ever, and it featurred an amazing songwriter, Kate Miccuci, she had me in stitches the whole show, as did Dr. Cox's boy Jack. "Mr. Moon" is my current favorite song.

There was some talk about a spinoff with the new interns if Scrubs ratings are high, but it would be a totally different show with few, if any, characters from Scrubs. Personally, I'm down with that, Jo is HOT and funny too. Just as long as they don't force the issue of "if you liked Scrubs, you'll LOVE this!" , and let it be its own show, I'd watch it if they do it.

The only halfway decent, original programming on that network was Pushing Daisies, and that's gone. They also canceled the remake of Fantasy Island with Malcolm MacDowell, and Cupid.

I read in EW that the series will be about Dr. Cox and Turk being med school teachers. Sacred Heart will still be a part of the show but not the central location.
