View Full Version : Ad Free Fundraiser Prize(s) & Stretch Goals

Randall Flagg
01-29-2019, 10:26 AM
I'll be giving away prize(s) to lucky members who donated to help keep the site ad free.

For every $10 a person donates they will receive one entry into our prize drawing. Maximum number of entries is 20.

Currently we are over $1,000.00 in donations so the first prize is an ARC of Suntup Press's The Haunting of Hill House. This includes the letter that came with the book.

If we reach $1,500 in donations, the next prize is an ARC of Suntup Press's Horns by Joe Hill. This includes the letter that came with the book.

If we reach $2,000 in donations, the next prize will be an ARC of Suntup Press's Misery!

All ARCs are as new, unread, but may have normal bumps and bruises associated with shipping and handling.

That said, I do try to contribute on a meaningful level each year and have done so again just now. :)

Just a polite bump. We could get to $2K and someone will win that Misery proof. Less than 1 year ago, we auctioned one off for our fundraiser and it sold for more than $1,800!

And this goes until when? I haven't put mine in yet.

Getting ready to do some sale items and giving 10% to the cause as well. If an item sales for $100, the buyer will Paypal (F&F) $90 and send the $10 into the fund raiser on their own so they get entered for the drawing.

I normally wouldn't do this inside Calvin Corner but this is for a good cause.

Over in the Dutch Hill (Other Authors list Classifieds) I've listed a large Clive Barker collection I'm helping a friend sell. A lot of the books are selling for publish price or even below. Don't be afraid to make an offer if you're looking to fill a hole in your Barker collection. Since the fundraiser is happening, if a book sales for $100, you will send me $90 (F&F Paypal) and you will send $10 to the fundraiser. This way you get the entry into the drawings that Jerome is going to do. The fundraiser only goes until Feb. 28th so don't delay.

Mulleins
I know the persons name and email. Often I can figure out what their user name is. Much like previous fundraisers, there has never been a problem knowing who the winner is, and/or getting their prize to them.

I'll do the drawing the first week of March.

Yes...and no.
Were you to be drawn, I'll send you something else cool that is not Suntup related. Maybe not as valuable as Misery Arc, but cool nonetheless.

Congrats again. I am sure this will look great on your shelf. We were all new collectors at some point (myself included). Just keep on going,
and when you are done, you will have a nice collection you can be proud of. TBH, I never thought that buying a first ed Christine would lead me
to where I am now. So keep on going.

Such a wonderful surprise to step away from work, check this thread and see that I won the Joe Hill "Horns" ARC. Thanks Jerome for the note and giving us the opportunity to donate to keep the site ad free as opposed to going the corporate route. It also reinforces the concept that is "our" site where we come to share all things King with like minded collectors. I love this place!
