For me, RBP was one of the best crime authors ever, classic detective stories all located in the Bosten - Mass - Maine are.
Don´t wanna say something bad about SK, his crime stories are nice,
but when you like Dashiel Hammett, R.Chandler give RBP a chance.

The book Handicap mit Todesfolge from Prof. Dr. Hanns-Stephan Haas is about the operations in a psychiatric institution during World War II.

I learned Low German from my grandfather, in northern Germany it is taught again in schools.
In my hometown Hamburg, especially in the port area, a lot of Low German is still spoken.

Then I'll show Poe next. The great thing about the
DIE UNHEIMLICHEN series are the completely different drawing styles of the artists. Lukas Jüliger puts Poes classic horror story in an incredible, mostly green otaku / anime world.

But I remember when I left the event a large group of drunk UK football fans stood in front of the fruit shop, along with some hookers.

Yes, the short story is about a largely unknown reindeer of Santa Claus, Rudwolf
half reindeer - half wolf ....malicious, alcoholic, violent.
The reader also learns that the Santa Claus clothes were originally completely white.
Until the first Christmas Daym Santa Claus had the stupid idea to put Rudwolf in front of the sled. Result .... a bloody almost dead Santa Claus.
That's why his clothes are white + bled-red since then.:panic:

Something from the good old days when it was possible to visit bookreading events....
Whenever Cornelia Funke is in her old hometown Hamburg, i of course visit her readings and
try to complete my collection.

Her bookreadingevents are of course always sold out, and after the reading the entire audience queues up to get max 3 books signed, this does not happen with all readings that I visit.
