Up for auction is an original piece of art done by famous artist Ned Dameron. This piece is intended to be the exterior wrap-around dust jacket for one or more of the editions of Cemetery Dance's upcoming limited publication of Stephen King's "The Stand". It depicts Randall Flagg and crows confronting Mother Abigail.



This piece is on canvas and is multilayered. Dameron assembled 3 pieces of canvas/boards to match the size ratio of the dust jacket for the book. Notice the "front" cover, "spine" and "rear" cover. It's fascinating to see in person, and pics don't do it justice. I tried to shoot the pics in different light-with, then without flash.



The piece is a whopping 48"x30"!

If it's less, I'll rebate the buyer, but to have UPS/FEDEX package and ship the art will be close to that. If I have to build a box, the materials alone for the box are $70, then Fedex or UPS ground for a 25LB. package insured at $1K will add over $100.

It cost Dameron over $150 to ship the art to me in a home made cardboard box. I don't feel comfortable cobbling together such a box and run the risk of the art being damaged.


Feel free to look into building a box, and ground rates for a 25 lb. oversized (too large for USPS to take) box shipped cross country.

Follow up:


I edited the auction and dropped the packaging and handling charge by $50. I also noted in red that if actual packaging and shipping costs are less than paid at auction end, I will rebate the over-payment.



Hope that sounds fair.


P.S. just to spark interest in the auction, I lowered the starting bid by $300.

I'm glad you brought it up, as it gave me a chance to edit the auction and clarify about the costs.

No need for a dunce cap, but perhaps I'll look into a smiley for biting someone's head off.
