2018: Overview of the results so far (Round 3)

The 2018 Constant Reader Awards (CRAs) are coming to and end, with Round 3 polls opening each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from April 10 until April 26. Each poll will be open for 7 days and close automatically. In this face-off round, each book is measured up against another, with the winner receiving a score of 0.1 for each win in addition to its overall score previously generated in Rounds 1 and 2 (in the unlikely event of a tie the two books will split the score and get 0.05 each). The big winner will then be announced May 3!

Also, It has overtaken first place and The Green Mile climbed back up to second.

Sorry, y'all! Was out yesterday and couldn't update when yesterday's polls closed, so it's two for one today. Only one wave remains! The Stand has closed the gap considerably, but looks like it will forfeit its first place for the first time ever! The Stand is now in second place, up from fifth entering Round 3, but even a win against It in the last poll won't put it over into first. The Stand needed It to lose at least one more poll somewhere and It didn't. We'll know how it all shakes out tomorrow!

For the first time ever we have a new champion and it is It!

The Stand tried valiantly to climb back up from fifth place, and did manage to pull itself up into second, but could not stay there, and was deposed at the last moment by both The Green Mile and Different Seasons.

This has been fun running this thing as always, and once again, thank you all for such great participation and discussion!

It is certainly a task but I love doing it. The music tournament I designed was horrendous on me though. Not that I regretted doing it, but it sucked up so much free time over a year pretty much. I had to schedule my life around it! This was easy in comparison, and I am very happy It won out, even though I was hoping for The Green Mile myself.
