For this playoffs poll, please choose one track to move on to the Tournament Finals as the representative of this time period in music.

IMPORTANT! Please do not simply vote on name recognition (or lack thereof) alone. Please do listen to each nomination and then make your choice. Even if you think you know a track well, it's still worth giving it a listen for a refresher.

The poll will run for twelve days. Discussion is greatly encouraged!

The nominees are (please let me know if any video doesn't play for you):

California Dreamin'

Yeah, such a unique sound. Easy choice. One of my all-time faves again, so happy it has made it this far!

Not that surprising. I'm surprised it actually got this far. Do you really feel it would be the best representative of this era?

No. I do believe it is a much better tune than California Dreamin' though.

I love both of these as well. Ended up going with California Dreamin' but I hate to vote against CCR.

I say all these 4 songs from the 60s win :D

It's not even the best CCR song from the Semifinals. Gotta be "California Dreamin'" which should come close to winning it all! :excited:

I agree that Fortunate Son is the better CCR song, but both are miles ahead of California Dreamin. However, if I had it my way, neither song would be in the Final.

This should have been The Beatles vs The Rolling Stones.

Even though I've consistently voted against it, I do really like California Dreamin' and won't mind seeing it go through. I really love BMR though.

Still...all said...I don't see this as CCR's best work.

I think Down on the Corner Midnight Special Lookin' Out My Backdoor Green River Hey Tonight Suzi Q Run Through the Jungle and a few others to be better than Bad Moon Rising

I grew up hearing a lot of CCR around the house but haven't really listened to them in years before this tournament which, reminded me just what a fantastic band they are! It's like visiting old friends hearing these tunes again.

Yes... Hey Tonight...a "one off ditty" in my opinion, but still it rocks.
