I don't get how "Sex on Fire" has made it this far. Such a bland song. Sorry. Gaga all they way! :fairy:

Yes...Sex On Fire is lack luster but so is it's competition. I wish both wee gone.

This Gaga tune reminds me of so much other pop music. It seems soulless and lifeless; made with as much passion as a swizzle stick.

It confounds me that some pop artists are real talents. Off the top of my head, I find Madonna,Christina Aguilera, Pink and Lady Gaga capable of so much more. I have heard much more from them. Pink has a wonderful voice,Christina Aguilera sings like an angel and Madonna is quite the composer. It's as if they fear a challenge.

I don't know about "capable of so much more"... Here are some facts, courtesy of Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bad_Romance): In 2015, Billboard named the song as "The Biggest Hot 100 Hit to Peak at No. 2", describing it as a "modern classic". On February 13, 2011, the single won the Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. According to the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry, the song sold 9.7 million copies worldwide in 2010, and went on to sell 12 million in total, thus becoming one of the best-selling singles of all time. In a 2011 review for the song, Rolling Stone declared it the best song in Gaga's discography.

Hashtag mic drop.

I reckon it depends on one's definition of "more."

Hashtag swizzle stick drop.

I voted for Lady Gaga - Bad Romance (2009), but I must say it sounds very over-produced and processed. With all that's going on, I swear you could put just about any female singer's voice in there and it would sound about the same. I sense a lot of that from the 2000s songs I'm listening to. The "production" seems way more important than the voice talent (or lack thereof).

The poll has closed. "Bad Romance" will face Mumford & Sons - Little Lion Man (2009) in the Quarterfinals.
