For this playoffs poll, please choose one track to move on to the Quarterfinals.

IMPORTANT! Please do not simply vote on name recognition (or lack thereof) alone. Please do listen to each nomination and then make your choice. Even if you think you know a track well, it's still worth giving it a listen for a refresher.

The poll will run for seven days. Discussion is greatly encouraged!

Gangsta's Paradise is one of the realest songs you'll ever listen to.

Gangsta's Paradise is one of the realest songs you'll ever listen to.

Word. Encapsulates the mid '90s in a way for me.

Word. Encapsulates the mid '90s in a way for me.

And it's also an (incredibly catchy) meditation of one man's understanding of his place in the cyclical nature of gang violence, and his inability to escape it.

I love Aerosmith but I dislike this song almost as much as Dude (Looks Like a Lady).

I think "Gangsta's Paradise" is one of the most identifiable songs of all time. A great and unique sound. One of the best of the decade.
