For this playoffs poll, please choose one track to move on to the Quarterfinals.

IMPORTANT! Please do not simply vote on name recognition (or lack thereof) alone. Please do listen to each nomination and then make your choice. Even if you think you know a track well, it's still worth giving it a listen for a refresher.

The poll will run for seven days. Discussion is greatly encouraged!

The nominees are (please let me know if any video doesn't play for you):

1979. I still have the double cassette and remember being excited for the album drop date. I went to the store on the first day and realized I couldn't afford the CDs so I ended up with the tapes.

With Arms Wide Open

...which I dislike, but don't outright detest, as I do the other...leaving in this matchup.

I still can't comprehend how Creed advanced this far. I thought it was the most hated band of all time?

I thought that was Nickelback.

I actually like this Creed song and have always appreciated the lyrics. I just couldn't vote for it in this bracket. I will say as a whole I really don't care for their music.

Duran Duran (my former favorite band) was always pretty hated by those that didn't like them (although this was slightly tempered by the fact that it seemed like everyone begrudgingly liked at least one of their songs - the AC/DC fan that liked The Wild Boys, etc.).

I didn't know I was supposed to hate Creed. I listened to both songs, best I could, and voted Creed - With Arms Wide Open (1999).

Love SP. I saw them live back in high school. Voted 1979.

I am green with envy.
I would have loved to see them live.

Funny that you would use that tune as the example as opposed to say New Moon on Monday.

Creed for me here. I have always loved the band.

The poll has closed. "1979" will face Sublime - Santeria (1996) in the Quarterfinals.
