For this playoffs poll, please choose one track to move on to the Quarterfinals.

IMPORTANT! Please do not simply vote on name recognition (or lack thereof) alone. Please do listen to each nomination and then make your choice. Even if you think you know a track well, it's still worth giving it a listen for a refresher.

The poll will run for seven days. Discussion is greatly encouraged!

The nominees are (please let me know if any video doesn't play for you):

Runaway by Marillion.

Well, since you don't have that, I'll take this Runaway.

I actually like Runaway better and will be pleased to see it advance, certainly. But this is one of the few occasions that I voted based on external factors. One of my earliest memories as a little boy was riding around with my Dad (who throughout the time we spent together was my best friend, but who passed at much too early an age) listening to his "classic country" 8-tracks. Johnny Cash - Ring of Fire (1963) was one of the songs I distinctly remember, and we listened to it over and over again. Here, it gets my vote.

I love it. Don't know what exact instrument that is, but that's an all-time great solo.

And we're tied at nine.

I have a similar story about Puff The Magic Dragon - Peter, Paul and Mary. Parents and sibling can be a huge musical influence. I have my older brother to thank for a HUGE 70's soft rock fetish.

Runaway took my vote here.

The poll has closed in a tie, but stated votes favored "Runaway". It will face The Animals - The House of the Rising Sun (1964) in the Quarterfinals.
