View Full Version : Great Music - Round 1: 1980-1984 (Group 16 of 16)

During the first round of The Great Music Tournament, please vote for up to five tracks you would like to move onto the next round. The top five tracks will be moving on. Keep in mind that the percentage of the vote a given track receives will determine its standing going forward.

IMPORTANT! Please do not simply vote on name recognition (or lack thereof) alone. Please do listen to each nomination and then make your choice. Even if you think you know a track well, it's still worth giving it a listen for a refresher.

The poll will run for seven days. Discussion is greatly encouraged!

The nominees are (please let me know if any video doesn't play for you):

I'm gonna go ahead and tell you guys that Billie Jean was my first favorite song. My mom said I used to walk around, still in diapers, singing that song all the time.

I still love it.
But I don't wear diapers now. :cyclops:

Gotta love The Stray Cats' throwback look and sound.

How is "Funkytown" last?

I'm pretty sure Funkytown was my nomination. I love the funky groove! Alas, it is lagging.

Gotta love The Stray Cats' throwback look and sound.

Me too. I'm all about the rockabilly. I don't think many people know what a musical genius Brian Setzer is. He is accomplished in many styles and genres, including classical music. I hope Rock this Town moves on.
