During the first round of The Great Music Tournament, please vote for up to five tracks you would like to move onto the next round. The top five tracks will be moving on. Keep in mind that the percentage of the vote a given track receives will determine its standing going forward.

IMPORTANT! Please do not simply vote on name recognition (or lack thereof) alone. Please do listen to each nomination and then make your choice. Even if you think you know a track well, it's still worth giving it a listen for a refresher.

The poll will run for seven days. Discussion is greatly encouraged!

The nominees are (please let me know if any video doesn't play for you):

It is indeed. I'm hoping Jacques Brel gets some votes, but looks like a tall order.

I'll make sure to add an extra vote to the total when the poll closes.

This is a very good group!

Also, any Dion and the Belmonts will get my vote every time.

My husband makes fun of me at home for constantly listening to Dion and the Belmonts as well as Dion's solo work. "You and your Dion", he says. I can't help it. I love what the man has done.

It's an awesome song! It also featured in the opening credits of the movie, A Bronx Tale starring Robert De Niro and Chazz Palminteri.
