Great looking collection, picontin. Some fascinating editions.
I second the UV film recommendation. Very, very cheap, when you consider the value of what it's protecting. We had it professionally installed on a 2.4 x 1.5 metre window, for AU$300.

The collection looks great! I always like seeing shelves with certain books standing out. That's one of the biggest downsides of having TOO many books, because then you have to turn them all sideways. There's only so much room you can take up, lol. Good job!

But you're right, I love those ladders too, it's not that high...about 2 meters.

Beautiful shelves and collection. May I make a suggestion? Be careful placing books on top of other books in traycases. It can actually warp the cases.

After many hours of investigation, I found that one can actually turn a book HORIZONTALLY, and lay said book on TOP of VERTICAL standing books, provided there is enough room between tops of books and bottoms of shelves. I was so shocked by this revelation, I bought even MORE books to test my theory.
