AUCTION LINK (http://www.ebay.com/itm/201431621462?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649)

TheDarkTower.org (http://www.thedarktower.org/)is proud to be the EXCLUSIVE site to auction this new, unique and fine Collectible item.
For your consideration is an Advance Proof of 'Salem's Lot soon to be published by Cemetery Dance (http://www.cemeterydance.com/).
There were only a small number of these produced, and finding one in unread condition is rare! This is the "twin" to the Rare Proof. Check my other auctions.

Thanks to Cemetery Dance (http://www.cemeterydance.com/)for this incredibly kind donation.
No reserve!
Note: the pictures show the book to be in "as new" condition. It's never been read and is exactly as it would be if shipped directly from the publisher. As with all ARC's/Proofs any imperfection is a result of the process. Please check the high resolution images.
There are two marks on the page block. These were part of CD's in house marking, and are to be expected.

I suppose a post on the CD forums wouldn't hurt as well.

I'm so happy to see CD donate these for the 2016 HF and get it kicked off right with these amazing items and to go even further and put the word out on them!

Some mean individual reported the auctions as having "Inappropriate Links".
According to ebay (http://www.ebay.com):
Please understand, there's a website address "http://www.cemeterydance.com/" referred in the listing which is a shopping site. Please understand that links intended to divert members to other e-commerce aggregators or auction style websites are not allowed.

Has to be some person that not only is mad about the auction, but doesn't want a link to CD and also wants to negate the publicity the email blast provided.

I'm putting the listings back up. I'll remove CD's link, my own sites link, and even The Haven Foundation link.

<-------------Pissed, but not going to give up.

I wonder if this will affect the ending price or not...

I wonder if this will affect the ending price or not...

I don't think it will. I'm sure the desirability is still there amongst those who were bidding, so I think the bidding will be similar to that of first listing.

It has the potential to affect things substantially. The newsletter that CD kindly put out to promote this auction will now have the wrong link attached to it. Potential buyers who receive CD's newsletter, will now be directed to the wrong auction listing,,, :onfire:

Seriously, what breed of asshole reports a charity auction??

Had to relist it again. There was a hyperlink in it (on a space). My fault. I don't want any reason for it to be cancelled.
Sorry, but some jerk would likely report The DarkTower.org as an e-commerce aggregator.

Cemetery Dance is going to send another email.
They have an incentive for a winner that (is a registered CD customer) will blow your mind.
It's like free money...only better...

Oh, you're KILLING me! Can you do this in November or so after I should get a year and a half of back pay?

Less than 24 hours left. Rare item in excellent shape.
Surely it's worth more than $1K>

don't get it , - really-
a proof of the third version of a modern gift edition of a early book should be worth more then twice dark tower original proofs are sold for ?

strange times ... maybe i don't get the hidden or true value of this item, but i don't understand that

Me neither. But that's the fun thing about collecting - there are items we all like and that have a true 'market value' and there are things like this proof that are very interesting and valuable to some and totally worthless to others. But I'm glad it's doing well and I hope the winner will be happy with it.

I think it has less to do with what book it's a proof of, and more to do with the scarcity of it.

It is likely that the nature of the auction (Haven Fund) and promo from CD is driving the price higher than it might normally command.

Plus good photographs and good descriptive listing. And good production values made it a very attractive looking book. What fan couldn't take one look at that and not want it? And, equally important, it is 'Salem's Lot! That book is on almost everyone's favorites list.

I just noticed the timing of the winning bid. It was placed ONE SECOND before the auction ended!

I hope that we'll be seeing this ARC (and the proof) show up in New Pride & Joy soon. Congrats to TDT.org on a great start to the Haven Fund 2016. Thanks to Brian and the CD team, Jerome for hosting, then REhosting the auction (and anyone assisting him on this particular project) and to the buyers for being so generous (and anyone that I missed in this process). I'm proud to be part of this site!
