I like it better than the other Betts remarques I think. The prominence of Margaret White's Bible and knife kind of make it for me along with Carrie's secular & sexual form through the dress, though drenched in blood is really what the central conflict was in the book, not really her power.....perhaps. I haven't read it since the 80s probably, so it is due for a reread soon. My mid-40s and gay mind may make something different of it.
