Why is the LE drawing in a GC covered one?

Just a guess, but I bet he just did the remarque for the auction, so it was done in the donated GC copy. I don't own a copy is the interior art the same for each edition and just the covers different? Could always just switch covers I suppose, if you have two copies. The remarque is absolutely fantastic, love it.

Because that was the book Edwards drew the piece in. Perhaps the donor didn't wish to donate a LE.

Irregardless of whose cover the book is, that is one amazing piece of artwork!

I asked for donations, but no one had a copy so, I purchased this one (It was the only copy I could find at the time) expressly for the HF. I thought it would be neat to have the two artists in the book so to speak and, Glenn knows and respects Mr. Edwards so I figured it would be a rather unique item to own. From what I have seen (FWIW), Mr. Edwards does not do very many remarques and he reproduced a remarque I have seen, Glenn do often. I just thought it would be a cool item to own and have a nice story behind it.

Here's an example of, Glenn's work...

I personally feel folks get too caught up in the "Illustrator/Edition" assignment and rob themselves of really interesting and unique work that can be had by one artists' take on another's work when theyt are both associated with the title. JMHO Here's one where I had, Glenn do his take on "Fair Deal" in FD/NS...

I don't believe ANYONE has this piece in their collection. Of course, it's just one man's opinion after all.

Not to be a smart ass or anything, but that is my business. The HF is/was a passion of mine and I do whatever I can in memory of my Nephew, Michael and my Mother, Katherine. However, over the years it has also become about "My" artists whom I have come to care for dearly. They are a wonderful group of people and deserve our support, IMHO.

Edit: To clarify, when I say "MY" artists I mean that in an endearing way and not possessive. After dealing with these folks over the years, contacting them behind the scenes and working together to generate fine collectibles for you guys to bid on, you invariably develop relationships and an understanding of their world.

You're a good man! The work you and the artists have done for the Foundation, and for SK collectors, is really impressive.
