I chose what I believe to be the best covers and if anyone wants to pick a title that's not it the poll they can name it in a reply post. :)

Yeah, cool. I kinda got it after I visited the first try after this thread. Okay, so then a tie between "It" and "The Dark Tower" and I'll give the nod to "The Dark Tower".

I'll limit my voting of course to the titles listed... Makes it easier to choose. I went with The Stand. Not an easy decision. Gunslinger and IT were strong contenders, but The Stand elicits more emotion for me. I remember when I purchased a 1st edition from a book dealer, probably about 25 years ago and how excited I was when I opened the package. It's a classic.

I'll limit my voting of course to the titles listed... Makes it easier to choose. I went with The Stand. Not an easy decision. Gunslinger and IT were strong contenders, but The Stand elicits more emotion for me. Once I got it down to these 10 it's a very tough decision indeed. It's almost Sophie's Choice tough.

JOYLAND, the trade edition.
I like the limited as well, but the trade works on all levels for me.

From the list above, IT has always been a favorite.

As a follow-on, my opinion only, King has not been served well in design over the years. Some of that can be laid to the times and the markets, but one of the attractions of these later limited and Gift editions--at least for me--is the opportunity to have modern design/design technology applied to older titles. --So when someone gets it wrong, it seems like a waste.

The US edition of IT is getting most of the votes here. Personally, I never cared for it (the cover!) not too much. I like the UK HB edition much more. That's one for my top 3 all-time favorite King covers.
