Me and a workmate had a crack at it and got 17/20 - the ones we got wrong ended up being mistakes in interpreting the question or just a careless mistake :)

I was impressed that the quiz made an effort to account for region-specific differences and have a level playing field, instead of asking shit about baseball or how many miles to a gallon and just assuming that everyone lives this way.

We stuffed up the first one (i thought that because it listed different ways of dying that had something to do with the chances of surviving), the one about "What would make you heavier?" and the word displacement one using former / latter, miscounted the damn thing.

I had that same problem - it told me I didn't answer the last question. So yeah, I really got 12/20.

just because you didn't answer the last question doesn't mean you got it right. It doesn't tell you which ones you got right or wrong, does it?

It does tell you what the answer was. It just says that you didn't answer the question, even if you did, and so it doesn't give you credit for it and include it in your tally of right answers. I just forgot to add it in when I put my score before. Believe me, it's an obvious one.
