This was really, really hard. I voted Shining. My top five King books (in no particular order) are Different Seasons, The Long Walk, The Stand, Drawing of the Three, and Shining. Let me just throw out a bump for Long Walk: It's the tightest work King has written in my opinion. I don't believe for sheer economy vs the shock of the book he's ever done any better; I think it stands with Shirley Jackson's The Lottery for this reason. There are other Kings I love to reread more than The Long Walk, but its allegory spans several literary genres brilliantly - a "major" "feat" in my "book."

ps I love this site!!!
pps Sorry I can't let go of a good pun :)
