Agreed. So why is it everybody talks about The Green Mile and etc. but never about this movie?

I think both The Green Mile and Shawshank (I respect the former and like the latter) have far more popular appeal. They are understandable films about prisons. Secret Window is an arthouse movie comparing to those.

and yes, Turturro is great!

I need to rewatch this one. I just remember being upset by the ending, but now that I know it's different maybe I'll appreciate that part more.
