especially when you read it after Desperation. The only emotion is WTF. I doubt it's what the author of a long novel aspires to.

There were years between Desperation and Regulators for me. I was so excited to finally read it. And, as you said, my reaction was just "what the fuck?".

The only reason I rated The Regulators a 0 is because there is no lower score. This wins my prize for absolutely the worst King book ever published.

I gave it a 2. That’s probably being generous because I really wanted to like this book after reading Desperation.

4.5 Loved this one. I think I actually prefer it over Desperation as well, but it's close. I gave them both the same score. They're both very solid books in my opinion, and I love how he took the same basic premise and characters and wrote two completely different stories out of it.

1. HATED IT! This book and Lisey's Story are tied for "bottom of the barrell" for me. I would only give a zero for a book that I just couldnt finish (which would not include any SK book) so a 1 is the lowest I felt I could go. I would have given it a 0.5 though had that been a choice.
