Just added Joshua to my queue, looks creepy as f---.

Torn between Night of the Living Dead and Repulsion, both of which I love. Hmmm ....

Pablo - going forward should we just post the movie trailers instead of the posters?

FUCK

this bracket consists mainly of my nominees:

Joshua, an evil child classic
The Dark, easily the most hopeless horror film ever, negating the very idea most horrors revolve around
Carnival of Souls, exquisite, elegant, creepy
Aparecidos, a very disturbing, dark thing that can even boast some originality - not something that can be said about the absolute majority of horror films

... and I have to vote for Repulsion, which I didn't even nominate!

I'd like to see both, if possible.

Voting for Repulsion, of course.

Can't decide, there's a few here that I really love.

Another vote for The Ring. I actually liked it better than Ringu (Japanese original) and The Ring Virus (Korean knock-off). Probably the only time I like the U.S. remake better than an Asian original.

Jean

bears slept through both

Ended up going with Night of the Living Dead.

I was gonna say, I thought you were a huge fan of Asian cinema. But I do agree, The Ring was better.

Was Bay of Blood really the inspiration for Friday the 13th? If so I must watch asap.

The Ring 2 is a very underrated sequel. I wasn't even that huge a fan of it the first time I'd seen it but after re-watching it a few times I think I like it more than the first at least in the sense it tells a much better story.

And how have I never heard of Joshua...IT'S GOT SAM ROCKWELL IN IT?!?! Love that guy (Desperately hoping we see a Sam Rockwell/Mark Ruffalo True Detective, it would be awesome no?). Vera Farmiga is a delight as well.

And while I haven't seen most of these I still think it's a great horror and more thatn deserving of having a chance to move on so I will go with The Ring.

I can't vote in this bracket. I've only seen two of these (The Ring & NotLD) and absolutely hated The Ring.

Yes! I am a huge fan of Asian cinema. It's as much a part of me as SK collecting. But I have to call it like I see it.

In fact, as far as the trailers, I've already done the YouTube research and saved all the necessary links :) So it's not a big deal for me to plop them in.

Not any longer, I just gave my vote to Carnival of Souls, since my other two favorites (Night of the Living Dead, and The Ring) are sure to move on.

Very sad for bears. This was the lowest voted group it looks like... Unfortunate.

bears are not very sad, though. Looks like Repulsion might advance

The Ring, Night of the Living Dead and Repulsion move on.

Sad Carnival of Souls didn't make it :(

I thought the same thing, Mike. I only heard of it because of this tournament and just got it from Netflix.
