I really liked this book. I loved the alien aspect... I also would love to see a really cool/diff S/L of this one someday... I think it falls under the radar a lot.

I think this was the first King book I read that I really didn't like. The characters of Bobbi and Gard were sympathetic and had potential, but the plot and execution and just about everything else was just so lame. I believe King has admitted he was coked up to the gills when he wrote this and doesn't even remember doing so.

1 star.

I loved it too... not my favorite ( I only give a few a 5... ones that I couls read over and over and over you know?) but it was a page tuner for me.

in fact, maybe it doesn't exactly deserve a 5... but it is usually so disliked bears couldn't help discriminating in its favor just a little

Gave it a four. I think this book is a gem. It is a study on the human condition and suffering.

1.5. Not my least favorite (I reserve that award for the plodding slog that was called "Under The Dome"), but one I never will pick up and read again. Meandering plot with few likeable or interesting characters.

4, I really enjoyed this book, and it's one that I've been wanting to re-read lately.

: stage whisper :

do it! do it!!!

P.S. I would have given it a 5+ for the concept of "new and improved" alone... and there's so much more to it that this!

Indeed. I don't know what could be done for it to move up out of the basement in people's minds.

Hey, I did read it twice! You know, just in case.

Different strokes and all that.

you could
a) prevent them from watching the film beforehand
b) wipe it from their memories if they already have done
