Congratulations to RUBE and Randall Flagg and Rjeso for having the best picks this week!!! (10-6)!

Contest Rules:

1. Just pick a winner for every game listed below.

2. All picks for the week need to be posted no later than ONE HOUR PRIOR to the start of the first game scheduled for THAT week. The first game this week is Saturday at 4:30 p.m. eastern. I will lock picks one hour prior.

3. If you fail to get your picks in by the deadline above, you may be awarded the score of the lowest W/L record for that week minus one point. Should you miss more than two weeks throughout the season, you may be dropped from the contest or become ineligible for the last place prize.

4. In the event you cannot get here, send your picks to:

dtnfootball@hotmail.com

5. We will only accept new players through week 4.

Each week, I'll calculate and update the standings and post the next week's schedule by Tuesday.

The WINNER! At the conclusion of the season (including the playoffs and Super Bowl), I will personally award a prize to the top THREE finishers. Last year, there was something for the individual with the worst record as well. A difficult feat, in itself! That will likely happen again.

If you're interested in current team standings, Yahoo has an easy to read listing.

Nice to see someobody else has some confidence in the Bucs. With all the starters playing, this defense is to be reckoned with. In my opinion, they are as good as the 2002 SuperBowl Bucs defense. The offense is, well, competent. They can score a few touchdowns a game, and the defense is usually good for one. Keeping the Giants off the board will be the key to the Bucs game if they intend to win.

I'm of the opinion that there's no such thing as a second favorite team, at least not for me. I watch all NFL and love good games, but to actively root for a team other than the Cowboys? Unthinkable.

I just like some players from the Eagles. As a team, I guess that I am more for the Packers.

For me it's one AFC, one NFC. I grew up a Jets fan and that is where my loyalties will always lie, but I have lived in Tampa for 15 years so I have some civic pride in the Bucs as well [though not yesterday]. Since they are in different conferences it matters little. The few times they play each other I root for the Jets but am not all that upset if the Bucs win.
