I was surprised to find no thread for The Plant. All of a sudden I was overcome with some nostalgia for 2000, and wanted to relive those days of the Amazon honor pay system and so on. Also I wanted to scour the old King website via Archive.org and see if I was missing any Plant-related postings written by King. I've got the original HTML files with King's posts dated July 25, 2000 (two different ones); July 31, 2000; August 25, 2000; October 9, 2000; December 4, 2000 (two different ones); and The Plant Agreement. Plus the income/expense report dated January 1, 2001. Most still archived here: http://www.stephenking.com/stephens_messages.html Any of them missing? When was this posted: http://www.stephenking.com/library/novel/plant:_zenith_rising_the_flap.html (I can't find it via Archive.org and none of my original PDFs have it).

I randomly started thinking about The Plant today, and I do wish King would revisit that story at some point. I thought it was very fascinating, not just by how he told it (its epistolary format) but because I thought it was a very good story. It does feel, however, the first act of a much larger piece--the seed, if you will. And, if you'll pardon the pun, I'd like for that to seed to grow.

Yeah I enjoyed what I read so far and I hope King does finish it at some point.

How can I read the Plant without paying a bazillion dollars for uber-rare Super collectibles?

You can complete The Office (http://www.stephenking.com/the_office.html) game at King's website -- the eBook is your reward for doing so.
