It is one of my favorite King books of all time. Definitely has my vote. Misery is a great read the first time around but a little boring the second.

This is a very very tough one. I'm going with It, although I think Misery is overall a better book. It gets my vote b/c there are 5-6 really good characters to follow, and in Misery there are only two. So if I want to get the full effect of King's characterizations, I'll re-read It.

(But Misery is better!)

I agree that Misery is more perfect. It has a better composition, is neat and precise, and in much better taste than It. I am not surprisedthat even when confronted by the awesomeness of It, Misery has already gotten 2 votes; maybe it deserves even more, being an indisputable classic.

Oh, and the UK cover is so much better...

Speaking as a proud British bastard: what pablo said. I do like the UK cover, but it's not as subtle or as memorable as the US version.

I found both books akin to eating glass. It was the more flavorful glass.

I've not read MISERY, but there's no way it's any match for IT. Still playing by the rules though, so no vote.
