Really, Jean? I felt this was a very strong collection. Definitely a five.

Fair Extension, admittedly, was the weaker one, but still a fun read. The other three were amazing. 1922, Big Driver, and especially A Good Marriage.

I gave it a 3. It was okay, but none of the stories were overly memorable or stood out as excellent to me.

My favorite was "1922" -- I haven't felt so bad for a long time. Good old fashioned fear and depression. "Fair Extension" was great; really makes you think. Actually, all these share common themes. You know, evil is relative; that is to say, it's defined by doing harm to another. This collection is all about the nature of such relationships. Horror, vengeance, and existentialism.

1922 started strong, but ended quite weak. I did like Big Driver, but not enought to rescue the whole thing
