loved it

I almost did. Went with a four, and not because of the ending.

I thought about a 4, and, too, not because of the ending - rather because it isn't as totally, fantastically, incredibly awesome as The Stand or It.

Then I asked myself the poll question, namely: can I say I loved it? Yes, definitely! I loved it and... even if not as all that as those two big monsters, it is still totally, fantastically, incredibly awesome.

Hmmm, I'm torn between a 4 and 5. I'll have to come back to this one.

Ollie Dinsmore? And that soldier?

Probably closer to a 4, but went with a 5 because the tour and all the promotion that went around it was incredible.

I gave it a 3, mostly because the ending sucked balls. I like endings that mean something, not endings that feel perfunctory. I get the whole "it's about the journey blah blah blah" point of view, but I find that point of view skewed. The ending is what makes the journey matter, so the ending's damn important. If you screw up the ending you screw up the book.

Never read, but I am excited to read this book. I like survivor stories, and being stuck in a bubble sounds like a fun read. :)

Hannah has a point. I loved the book minus the ending. And I'm not sure if I would rank it in my top 10. So in keeping with my rating system I had to give it a 4.

Yea, the ending kept it from a 5.

A generous 2. One of my least favorite King reads ever. I only finished it out of some morbid sense of obligation.

2.
I started out liking it, but it seemed to build up to nothing. I wanted to enjoy it more.

and then there were three.

I agree that the only reason I finished this book was because it was SK and i was expecting something so much more. It dragged soooooo much, I hated hated hated the 'bad guy' I cant even remember his name, so much I skipped most of his story, which i know some of you would say to go back and read, but when something annoys you and leaves such a bad taste in your mouth I really dont see why I should spend my down time trying to relate to such a yucky person. In my mind he was made into too much of a bad person, with no redeeming features, nothing in him interested me enough to keep up with him.

I have promised myself a re-read, but keep building myself up and then find something more interesting to read.

I have never voted any SK book a 1, this was very close but saved by the premise itself. It was a shame the characters where so ' meh' and the story so frustrating

Dragged? It was so fast-paced and actiony, I thought.
