Absolutely. My second favorite of the series, right behind Drawing.

The weakest of the Dark Tower books for me. I just never got into the character of Susanna (or Odetta, or Detta, or Mia). I loved all the other characters in the series, major and minor, but she either bored me or irritated me. So a whole book dedicated to her---well, what can I say? 3.

I didn't feel she was actually that big a part of the novel.

This is exactly why this is my least favorite book of the series however when I wasn't being bored, annoyed or irritated by Susannah et. al., I really loved the rest of the story and all the other characters, for that it gets a 5.

I adore Susannah. She is my favorite character in TDT.

I have it written down as a 4, but I honestly don't remember too much about this book. This is the start of the Mordred storyline, right?

3. It was just okay. the biggest redeeming factor of it was the fact that it was so short...doesn't take me very long to get past it and get to the fantastic finale.

The only book in the series I did not like.

4. A little slow, main plotwise, but made up for with some nice use of the real world, some good action scenes, and some moments of sheer magic, too.

You know, of all the DT books, this is the only one where I can't pin down one specific event that really stuck with me. I'm not even sure I should vote on it.

I'm surprised this one is always so controversial.

You know, and I have nothing to back this up except "feel/instinct", it just seemed to be a "bridge" book to DT VII

Because I'm feeling generous, I'll give it a 3.

I'm sure that someday I'll reread it and realize that you all were right all along... or maybe not.

Looks like DT6 has missed out on one of the six wildcard spots and so for the first time we won't have all seven DT books in the second round.
