"Loved it" doesn't begin to describe how bears feel about it.

A book I really do need to re-read at some point soon. Absolutely loved it, in its use of dark horror, fantasy, and truly memorable characters. An easy 5 from me.

Never read it, unfortunately. I've always meant to get around to it, but always seem to get distracted by other books.

I gave it a 4. I didn't love it but it was really good. Better than The Talisman IMO. It was nice to see Jack grown up.

5. Just read recently, due in no small part to Jean's praise, and loved it.

I'm sure that whoever they are might be worried that bear's wrath will be on a level to one of Malcolm Tucker's rants (example below, language definitely NSFW).

Hmmm, I think I need to rewatch The Thick of It again asap. The wait for series 4 has been agonizing so far.

Oh, and to all the people who voted 'not read' (the number of which has really surprised me), add it to your reading list asap. And yes, that includes you, Pond!

I know, I know...but did you see how many books I have in my apartment? And I have somewhere around the neighborhood of 20 more books back at the house that I haven't read....

But...that being said....the bookstore is a quick drive away...:orely:

Finished this last night. My second read of this book, but first time to follow a reading of The Talisman. Both books are very good.

Gave it a 5!

But I still don't think the one word that does describe it really needs to be spoken right now.

Based on your list, these would be the next five I would recommend...in order:
1. The Stand (obviously)
2. Pet Sematary
3. Christine
4. Needful Things
5. Firestarter
Just my opinion mind you, but these are some of my favorites.

I agree with this, though I might sub "Black House" for "Pet Semetery", but that is a tough call!!!

lol, I'll eventually get to all of them, there just isn't enough time. Shit I still have a ton of magazines from about a month ago sitting on my desk/dining room table (lol) that I haven't put into my spreadsheet yet. No time. No time. :(

I read Talisman first, but by the time I read BH, Talisman had totally disappeared from my mind, without leaving a trace. BH didn't suffer none for this. Then I re-read both, and BH did become even better because of the context, but I think it can very well be read alone.
