Read about a 100 pages and stopped, had just finished Desperation and it was confusing. Will read it soon:)

3. Read this after Desperation and was severely disappointed. Especially with the horrible ending.

2.
It's rare that I read a book that has so little impact on me.

I read this one within the past year. The thing that sticks with me the most is that at some point I realized that I wasn't really differentiating between a lot of the main characters, and that didn't bother me.

There were elements that I liked - like the general concept of what was going on.

I gave this a 3.

I gave this a 3.That makes me feel better about deciding to give it a 2. If I had liked the general concept of what was going on in it, I probably would have gone a bit higher, too. But I just liked bits and pieces, the ending, and (sort of liked) the concept as it relates to TDT and to the real SK novel of the pair.

Its hard for me to believe that the same author who could write such a creepy book with interesting characters such as Desperation could write such a piece of crap like The Regulators.

1.... Making it easier to believe that a different author wrote it. *cue "Twilight Zone" theme*

Read this after Desperation and it felt like a step down. It's decent enough, but nothing special.

Perhaps a waiting period is necessary between the two novels? To go in fresh(er)?

I thought it was scary too, and filled with lots of tension.

I read this one first and loved it. Then read Desperation years later, and loved that as well. Then just recently went back and reread them both back to back. I love how each complements the other and the parallels between the two. I'm surprised there's so much hate for this one.
