Yes! Except that it is my favorite out of everything else. I wish I could give it more than a 5 :)

I liked it a lot, but am going with "4." I didn't like the ending and some of the manifestations/powers of Pennywise were not handled well (they took me out of the story). Don't get me wrong--this is a very good book with some of the best characters King ever wrote. But there's just that little something that holds it back from the elite of the elite.

5. Very good book, with such an amazing villain. It got a little repetitive at times, but that was OK because it was interesting.

Scene 1: Kid A meets up with Pennywise
Scene 2: Kid B meets up with Pennywise
Scene 3: Kid C meets up with Pennywise
Scene 64: Adult A meets up with Pennywise
Scene 65: Adult B meets up with Pennywise
Scene 66: Adult C meets up with Pennywise

And seriously:
Was the gang bang necessary?

Loved this one! Have re-read many times. I also thought the TV movie adaptation was decent, better than most.

Shannon--even though this is one of my favorites I am with you on your spoiler........although I understood the place in the story, I could have done without that one scene.

5. Favorite book period. Also, we have a lengthy discussion about the scene in question in the It discussion thread.

Come to think of it, those imperfections are among the things that make the book so unique. I don't think I've made myself clear this time, sorry - I got to do some more thinking about this.

Got a four from me, it was a good book. But in regards to your spoiler - I really never understood the need for this. The gang where uber close anyway and really didnt need to have a gang bang to prove it. It made the kids really grubby in my mind and it was something that Pennywise would have thought was hilarious. It went from a 5 to a 4 for this

... some of the manifestations/powers of Pennywise were not handled well (they took me out of the story).I don't recall any of those knocking me out of the story... just knocking me out of my socks!

A 4 from me. I read this only a few years ago and all I remember is:

Georgie gets his arm ripped off. Bill thrusts his fists against the posts to keep from stuttering. There's a completely inappropriate teenage gangbang and the spider baby egg sacs made a disgusting sound when they squished them.
