If you copy a photo link from your Gallery, you can do two things:

1) either click the 'Insert Image' button (next to the little envelope icon) and paste the link you copied in the little pop-up window;
2) or manually add 'image tags' in your post like this: image link.

In both cases you will need to remove the following parts from the URL when you paste it: <img src=" and " /> (basically, you want it to look like http://www.blahblah.JPG).

Yes, I do like my Jameson... Trying to figure out something to do with those 12 year old cylinders...hmmm. The 18 year old box is just too nice to throw away!

Yay, a new collection! I like what I see so far! What are your favorite King items you own? Tell tell!

This is what I do for images, if you were curious. Go to www.imageshack.us, get a free account, use that webpage to upload your pictures there. Whenever they are uploaded use the "Direct Link" for each picture and put it in your posts with the [ img ] and [ /img] tags around it, no spaces. :)

Thanks Becca! No plans to add doors on these bookcases. We're going to be moving back to the states this summer and they will be replaced with permanent, custom built bookcases in a couple of years. I can't wait for that day!

Thanks Cook! After the Simon & Schuster fiasco I was a bit disgruntled... so my wife entered the random drawing for me and was fortunate enough to score one of the 850!

:panic::panic::panic::panic::panic::panic:Hello everyone!

Okay... I've been hesitant to post these pictures of my signed 1st edition Carrie for fear of disappointment. I think it's because I'm paranoid now after learning of and seeing all of the forged SK signatures out there. I bought this about a year ago for what I felt was an incredible bargain but I was extremely nervous about doing so because I'd never bought a signed SK from anyone over the internet. The seller provided an event stub from where he said it was signed and also included in the sale a valuation from a book dealer. I'm ready to hear from the experts what you think about the authenticity of this signature and if any of you remember this showing up on eBay. So... for your examination, critiques, and comments... here are some photos of my signed 1st edition of Carrie.... :panic:

Thanks in advance and I'm really looking forward to hearing back from you!

I think it is a valid signature. When I first looked at the second picture showing the full page with the signature I had some doubts. But I've looked at the closeup picture of just the signature pretty carefully and I can find no fault with it.

WOW! I sold this to Brad last year! Holy smokes, what a small world!

It absolutely is legitimate as I bought it from a very reputable seller in Kansas City. I told Brad, via PM, that I've been regretting selling it to him ever since last year.

Brad, as I said in the PM, if you EVER want to sell it back to me for the price you paid, I'll send you the money IMMEDIATELY.

Tim

P.S. Now I've got to look at this as a reminder of how stupid I was to sell it.....:cry: :cry: :cry: :cry:

It's a pretty neat book and one of the few hardcover editions of this book in the world, I think. There are two printings (don't know which one this is but for Dutch books it doesn't really matter if it's not a 1st printing IMO). Total print run was probably not more than 3000 copies.

Print-run for the first printing was 7000 copies (2nd printing 5000).
You should have a look at catawiki.com. The one at marktplaats has been floating there for months.
I think the seller expects a lot more then €20!

Good condition, starting at €20. Mint condition €29.

Actually, I'm the one in awe, jealous, envious, and covetous nearly everyday when I see some of the books and things you all have. This acquisition is the cornerstone of my humble collection as of right now. Although, I can't wait to see how my lettered edition of the 25th anniversary IT compares...
