I'm a big Adult Swim fan, as well as a watcher of The Simpsons, Family Guy and South Park, I wasn't sure if there was a place to talk toons, so here you go.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fox is creating episodes of Family Guy without Seth MacFarlane because he's on strike as he's a writer.

Does anyone else find this to be utterly ridiculous to think of Family Guy without the voice of Peter, Brian, Stewie, Quagmire and Tom Tucker?

It's going to be a trainwreck.

I think they'd be better off to show reruns of Family Guy than to do that!!!

Jimmy
11-14-2007, 07:42 AM
They have the option they're just not doing reruns.

One of the eps in question though will be called "3 Kings." It's 3 Stephen King stories parodied. Stewie and Brian will be in the Misery parody, I've heard nothing about the other 2 stories.

I love Family Guy - if they screw up the voices I'm going to be pissed.

Also, Robot Chicken rocks!

I currently watch :

Family Guy
South Park
Venture Bros
Metalocalypse
Robot Chicken
Lucy : Daughter of the Devil
Xavier : Renegade Angel

All very good quality and the only shows I watch on tv besides Daily Show, Colbert and the regular news.

Daghain

I watch:

The Simpsons
Family Guy
Robot Chicken
American Dad

How's Lucy, Daughter of the Devil? I meant to check that one out, but keep missing it. If it's any good, I may have to add it to my DVR.

I'm so far behind on South Park I'd probably have to pick up all the old seasons on DVD.

Dude, you totally need a DVR. You will never watch television the same way again.

Lucy's great and they show eps on adultswim.com after they first air.

I don't bother with DVR, as I have the net so I can see whatever I want, whenever I want.

South Park this season has been great too, only one ep was weak, imo. "Guitar Queer-o."

Not true, depending on your computer's speed, you can watch anything.

If you're working with a regular modem there's not much that can be done. If you've got something tougher, pm me and I'll show you where to go.

Sadly, the only computer that would handle this kind of stuff is my work computer, which most likely won't go over well with my boss:lol:

Thanks anyways though

An upcomming episod will be very interesting for Stephen KING fans:

"Three Kings"
Three different Stephen King novels are parodied in this three-segment episode, including a Misery segment starring Brian and Stewie.

planned to be in the next season (2008-2009)
source : wikipedia & http://uk.tv.ign.com/articles/809/809007p1.html
(from 2007, but time to plann an episod.... should be interesting :-)

I just watched a Family Guy not too long ago where they bashed King, saying he is no longer creative. Think Lamp Monster....

Awesome!

I love the episode where Brian is driving his car and hits a guy walking on the road. He jumps out and says something like "Oh my god! I just hit Stephen King!". They guy goes "No, I'm Dean Koontz" and Brian jumps back into the car, backs up over him and drives off again.

I heard about this a while ago. I know they're doing a Misery parody with Stewie and Brian, but I'm not sure what the other 2 are.

I always wanted the Simpsons to do a Treehouse of Horror version of IT, with Krusty subbing for Pennywise, but this will do. :)

Is anyone here into Home Movies? I just started watching it like 6 months ago and I am so sad it took me so long! That show is amazing. I like Metalocalypse a lot but H.M. is definetly Brenden Small's masterpeice.

I was just talking about how much I miss this show. I used to watch the hell out of it....I can't seem to find it on dvd though.

To this day, I can't say the word 'naked' without saying it the way Heffer did.

I was watching Sealab 2021 last night. No matter how many times I see one episode, I still get cracked up.

When discussing turning themselves into robots:
Murphy: We'll eat tires like licorice
Debbie: (laughs) No we won't
Murphy: Maybe you won't!

oh oh oh!

I LOVE Metalocalypse. I got both seasons from Netflix while Nigel was in Germany. Of course loving Family Guy is a given.
I was also a big fan of Invader Zim when it came on. I've recently stopped watching Nickelodeon but i just caught an episode of Fairly Oddparents
I actually like Futurama unlike some people...
The Boondocks is great.

I don't think there's anyone under 30 or over 10 who didn't love Rocko's Modern Life! Same goes for most of the other nicktoons.

I love Metalocalpyse too! In addition to it's hilarity, there's someting else I like about it. I can't quite articulate it, though. The closest word I can think of is "epic".

I knew it would be something you would like Feev. :)

I'd suggest you rent/netflix the DVD's of the previous seasons. A lot of what happens this most recent season is based on stuff they set up in previous seasons. It's still funny without having seen past episodes, but it's much funnier with the backstory.
