Those pics appear in my paperback as well. Great pics, thanks for posting them! Now I really want to re-read The Stand before Salem's Lot...

There are Stand portfolios that have a print signed by Bernie and they are numbered as well.

I do not own one though, otherwise I would post a picture.

As far as I know, the illustrations were in all the editions of The Uncut Stand, including most if not all the mass paperbacks.

Yes. the illustrations are available in the spanish, italian and portuguese editions as well.

as a matter of fact, all the spanish editions have 'em. The published can't be included, since there are too many...Glimper is the one that edited the Portfolio.

Ok, so the 'limited' in the title should be deleted, right?
and the in the "edition" section, should be written something like "all"

No. The first picture comes from the Signed Limited. The black and white illustrations may be present in various editions, but the Red Bordered title page is only present in the S/L.

yep i know, but basically, the threads are about the illustrations right?

So, you could mention that the first page is from the SL, but the illustrations available in all editions?
at least, is my point of view..

These are super images, I have an old hardcover of this book that has nice versions of these. I saw a paperback last week of this book here in Canada that had horrible dark and grainy versions. Don't get me started on the versions of these images that came with the ebook I bought. Ugh. Maybe Mr.King and his publishers will realize the potential of ebooks on the ipad and release quality ebooks.

So $120 for a S/L was a good deal then? ;)

I'd say $120 is a great deal. I think the $150 I paid is right at market.

Wrightson is popular across genres. Since he isn't drawing any more his previous work should increase in price. I'm currently attempting to buy all of his portfolios that interest me.

I see on eBay that someone bought the blue portfolio for $145 last month. :orely:

There is another set of the unsigned on eBay (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/The-Stand-Bernie-Wrightson-Stephen-King-11-Open-Edition-Prints-in-New-Condition-/271800299778) currently. Fair warning, this is an incomplete set and is missing one of the unsigned prints. (not the extra RF signed one, which it shouldnt have anyway) to be clear it only has 11 Prints. It also seems to be missing the blue/silver folder as well. Here is the response I go from the seller, who is clearly confused about what he has.

Hi, Nothing missing at all on these,
they are the leftover prints from the portfolio,
the 12th was the signed one and gone long before
I got them from my friend Todd Adams of Glimmer Graphics.
The whole signed portfolio goes for big bucks.
And getting just plate 12 would be close to impossible.

All the Frankenstein ones are awesome. I'd love to get his Edgar Allen Poe Portfolio, but it's a bit too pricey for me ($200-$250).

I find that I am often far more informed than sellers. Not in small part due to TheDarkTower.org!
