The 2011 Fundraiser benefitting The Haven Foundation kicks off immediately and will run through May 19, 2011.

We are streamlining this year’s event to make it easier to manage and hopefully increase the donation total.
Several book dealers have already committed to donating things that will either be used as giveaways, or auctioned off-we are hoping for more once this official announcement is posted.

100% of the net proceeds from all cash, check, Paypal gift donations and Ebay auctions will be forwarded to The Haven Foundation. (Ebay ad insertion, commission and shipping fees are the only expenses that will be paid from the Gross proceeds).

Every person who donates $10 or more, or donates an item used for auction or giveaway will receive one entry into our giveaway. Items for the giveaway have yet to be finalized, but rest assured they will be really exciting and cool!

Paypal donations must be noted as a “Gift” so that Paypal does not take a commission.
The Paypal address is Zoidsmith@aol.com.

Checks must be made out to Jerome Smith (Please don’t make them out to The Haven Foundation as I will have to forward them and they won’t count towards our fund-raising total) and mailed to:

Good to see the fundraiser on for 2011. Do we send donations (books) to you RF?

Yes. However it would be best to contact me first-there might be situations where the shipping to the USA, and possibly back overseas may be prohibitive.

$1 helps. Five hundred people donate $1 and it is substantial.

 And the third item is already twice as high as the first two combined - and it isn't finished yet.

I just went to make a donation, but on my Paypal page under personal payments, there is no "gift" option. Just shared expenses, rental charges, payment owed, and others.

Jerome, if I choose "others", it gives me the option of paying the fees, is this OK from your point of view? or does it have to be a true gift for other purposes?

Just donated $20 under Mr. Woofer's name (Robert Williams). There was confusion last year, so I am pointing it out now. Thanks for doing this again!

Just so everyone knows, apparently if you donate with a debit card and it's a gift, there's no fee, but when I tried with a credit card, it made me pay a $3 fee on top. (maybe it's a percentage, I don't know)

I really like that Fundraiser Barometer thingy. Just curious, do you have to manually update it's progress or does it move automatically?

Manually on the 8 different forum views, and 1 more for the Home Page.

Did my donation come through? It would've been under Big Dog's name.

Also, thank you all so much for The Colorado Kid. That is freaking awesome!

(Sorry that I've not been around much. I've been adjusting to the new job - no easy task, I assure you.)
