West Wing. I still try to watch reruns whenever they're on Bravo.

Who could not fall in love with SG1, saving the world EVERY WEEK!!!

SG-1 is a really great series. It's way too long, especially with all the spin-offs, so hopefully one day I can actually watch it all.

Eh. I still have mixed feelings about it. I started out actively disliking it, but gradually found more and more good things about it. Don't think I'll ever be Stargate fanatic, though. Eh.

Voted Stargate - though I have not watched a whole lot of episodes myself, I have a family member who loves the series, so I'm partial to it anyway.

West Wing.
Without hesitation. Some of the best writing on television, ever.
The third season saw some amazing scripts ... incredibly, the episode "Isaac and Ishmael" stands out.
Stargate is fun, but it doesn't touch West Wing on acting or writing.

West Wing...a show credited with revolutionizing dramatic television...is losing to Stargate?

I'm going to leave now...

I'm still upset that Mad Men lost to Firefly back in Bracket 1

SG1!!!
I love this show and as Candy said a few post back a main character dies everysingle season, and they save the world countless times and don't expect something in return for their work.
I've never been into shows like West Wing I find them boring.

why the internet PAth? Just curious as to why you seem to be blaming the internet for the popularity of a series that spanned 10 years and the bulk of which was before the mass onslaught of everyone having internet access?

i am unsure if i lost something in translation with west wing but i always found it very much up its own ass?

I just think that the percentage of sci-fi fans who frequent internet message boards is probably larger than the percentage of non-sci-fi fans who do. Just a pet theory; it's not any kind of insult.

We'll encounter this with Whedon's shows too. Doctor Who, Lost and other very large devoted fanbases.
