ZoNeSeeK

Spoon Me is a simple word game based on word sound spoonerisms - you post a clue for each half of the answer, where the answer are 2-word combinations where the first letter/sound can be swapped, for example:

Enjoyable evening / holy woman battle would be

Fun Night / Nun Fight

I'll post the first one:

Overgrown ursine / Extremely painful male injury

John_and_Yoko
05-28-2008, 07:23 PM
Arthropod is a more general term, including arachnids, insects, crustaceans, centipedes, and millipedes.

Unfortunately you're nowhere near the right answer yet. Keep trying. :)

Jon
05-30-2008, 04:05 AM
An arthropod must produce chitin (kite-in) and have a segmented body. This is why a granddaddy long leg is NOT a spider damnit!! Look closely...they have a globular body which has no obvious constriction or 'waist' between the front section (the cephalothorax or prosoma) and the hind section (the abdomen or opisthosoma)!!! They produce neither silk nor venom!! /rant

(Sorry... former bug man)

on the right track still...let me proffer a li'l clue:

for the first one, think of the 4 designations placed by god upon heaven, hell, earth, and perfection.

it's actually kinda bad now i look back on it; it was a rough idea i got and ran with it w/o letting it fully articulate.

ya know what...since it was poorly designed in the first place in retrospect, fuck that one, i'll move on to something far simpler:

damn...why does this shit always turn out 10 times more difficult then i expect it to?

turns against--this half should be easy as hell...it's a phrase many of us use on a daily base, especially when speaking of others in relation to ourselves.

collect Streisand--on it's own, yeah i can see a thousand or so possible responses to this, but if anyone can piece together the first one, then of course NATURALLY this one goes with it.

i dont get it. do you?

Adumbros
09-18-2008, 01:18 PM
i dont get it. do you?

the idea of this game is simple.

say the answer is Big Cars/Cig Bars

the clue might be something like "monster vehicles/smoker-friendly saloons"

the idea is that the two answer have to mirror each other when flipped..

i.e., Big Cars/Cig Bars

it does not necessarily have to be just the first letter; spooning essentially means the entire first syllables, if the answers are more than one syllable.
