I truly can't choose this one right now, and may actually abstain from voting altogether simply because the one is as good as the other for me.

That can just be an issue of what you want to read at the time as opposed to it indicating an overall preference.

I think this exposes what I see as a flaw in this system. I voted for The Green Mile, although I believe the Stand to be the better novel. However, I have read the Stand some 4 or 5 times and the Green Mile only once. Hence, I would rather reread the Green Mile, but this would not be an adequate reflection of my ranking of these novels.
