'Salem's Lot.

This one was easy...

'Salem's Lot' too. Easy choice since I read 'The Talisman' late last year and haven't been back to the Lot since it was first published.

I don't get the love for the Talisman. I really thought it was one of King's weakest.

I didn't like it either, and I was hoping to (I mean, there were SOME parts I liked, but overall it wasn't something I care to read again)....

I too think that The Talisman is one of my all time favorite stories
( King or otherwise) so there ya go.
I wonder tho how some of these contests pit such remarkable stories against
eachother ....and I have noticed that love /hate thing too. We here tend to
agree about so much in life and literature it is curious to me that this is so.

There's something wrong with this world when one of the most important books in horror history and dare I say one of the best pieces of literature to be written in the last 40 years loses out to a second-rate boy's adventure tale.

IMO

It was close though. The people have spoken. It wouldn't've been my choice, though. But I haven't read The Talisman yet. Also surprising is that it's 0 for 3, too.
